Thank you Taylor and Mike! These lessons are such a treat. I look forward to them each week. In fact it’s all I can do to not skip ahead and listen to all of them 😂
I loved it when you brought out that the greatest miracle God does is redemption of man. All other miracles can, in theory, be replicated by man. Doctors today provide sight for the blind, I'm sure that scientists could find a way to part the Red Sea, but no one can remove our sins and return us to our Father except the Savior.
Moroni’s potential name meaning “I was beloved” or “I was loved” is so beautiful. I’ve been wondering about something recently. Seems like a lot of names have ironic meanings. For example Noah meaning “rest” or “peace” while his story is about a massive flood killing countless people and about living in a small boat with countless animals. Sounds like the most un-peaceful and in-restful thing I can possibly imagine haha 😂. Gideon meaning “"hewer" or "one who cuts down" while largely becoming an example of peace. Moroni potentially having a similar theme his name meaning “I was loved” while being one of the most lonely and abandoned people ever. Is this a common technique to have these ironic meanings and messages? Seems like a common theme is that the name makes no sense but God makes it so. Like Noah shouldn’t have had any peace or rest but because he relied on God he was given peace and rest despite his situation. Seems to be the case this is a common literary tool but I’ve been interested to learn more about this.
