Thank you so much for your inspired lesson and for sharing your testimonies. When I heard Joseph Smith's story for the first time about 30 years ago the Spirit testified to me that his record is true, and until today I never got any doubt about it. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and all what he did for me and humanity. Through his work I received the answers to questions I had asked Heavenly Father when I was a very little girl. I know God lives and He answers our prayers. Thank you again...
Thank you, Taylor and Mike. It's been a while since I've posted with you. For years I've wondered about and could not reconcile the differences in the language of the D&C, similarly to that of the Book of Mormon, and the style in our current day and in recent months I felt I was coming close to reconciling those questions in my mind until you articulated exactly what has now closed those questions and gaps in my own understanding when you gave context to the apocalyptic and psychological thinking that prevailed in the minds of the people back then and how God spoke to them this way because it is what resonated with them and got their attention, so thank you. Thank you for closing the door, once and for all, on this unanswered question I've wondered about for years. When we immerse ourselves in the scriptures, and I consider Scripture Insights to be one of the Gospel Study swimming pools I enjoy immersing myself in, we can Hear Him. We can receive answers to prayers and questions through many venues that compliment His word. Carry on my dear friends!
Great episode. Thank you both so much for your time and efforts in our behalf.
Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤
Thanks Maria!
❤❤❤
Great to have you here!
Thank you brothers for the insights! 😭💪🏽🔥
Thanks for watching!
Sharing the first vision on my mission was always the most powerful part of the lesson! Seemed like that's always when a baby would start crying, a dog would start barking, a horn would honk, etc 😂
Ha ha!
This is one of my favorite consistently scripture podcasts.
Thanks for being here!
So happy to have found you again! I thoroughly enjoyed Bro Halverson's teachings when studying the New Testament, but lost track of where you went. Thank you for your insights and teachings.
Welcome back!
Two thoughts you shared impacted me. D&C is a "representation of the unfolding restoration" and it's "personal and communal". Given the Savior's admonitions and what I see happening I'm grateful for the safety of a faith community. You two are part of that for me.
We always loving hearing your perspective Jeff!
Thank you!! I need to be disciplined in my relationship with my Savior!!❤❤
Great reminder!
Thank you for your time and effort to help us get through this beautiful doctrine! Regards to you Brothers, Happy New Year!❤
thank you Maria!
Thank you so much for the insights and the study recommendations!
You are so welcome!
Happy New Year! Thank you Taylor and Mike for teaching this year! Looking forward to learn D&C with you guys. God Bless You!
Happy new year!

I can’t wait thnku so much👋🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Hope you like it!
Thank you for ministering to me and all who will come to this channel. Iam inactive member of the church and iam a work in progress. Iam happy to study the doctrine and covenants with you this year.
We love having you here!
I am excited to learn more about D&C. ❤
Hope you enjoy it!
What a great insight to connect the continual work of salvation from the Book of Mormon and the Gospel of Jesus Christ with an emphasis on the eternal importance of covenants and the need for its restoration .. brilliant!
Thanks for your encouragement!
Thank you Taylor & Mike! 20 minutes is fine but if you can make it to 30 minutes, I think it will be better so you can expound more. Watched and listened to your podcast from Kelowna, BC, Canada. Good job!🎉
Our weekly episodes typically average between 30-45 minutes :)
I also thought of the Primary song "Search Ponder and Pray..." when I read the scripture! Thank you for sharing your scripture insights. I love the Book of Mormon!
Great insight!
Love the length - great job!
Thanks!
🙂♥️🙏
Thanks again!
Thank you, Mike and Taylor, I'm glad you'll be teaching this year. As I listened to how the Savior contextualized his comments in avoiding "contention" in 3 Nephi 11, I was struck by the thought that it was contention that drove Joseph Smith into the Sacred Grove.
I hadn't thought about that before. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the concise explanation of exactly what is the Lord’s gospel and what was restored.
:)
Could you add the assigned study date to each video description? It would make finding your videos much easier. 😊
Thanks for the suggestion. We hope that this content will be useful for many years to come so that is why we haven't added dates specifically for 2025.
Already really loving studying D&C!!! Thank you brothers! Loved the insight about the D&C having the highest concentration of the Lord speaking directly! Powerful
Thanks Dino!

what happened to Tyler Griffin
Tyler and I have still have videos available on the Scripture Central channel. This channel, Scripture Insights, is an additional project I started last year with Mike Harris.
I’m teaching a D&C Sunday School class next year. I appreciate your insights!
Thanks for your service!
Love the short format! All the podcasts are way too long. Thank you!
That's why i listen at 2x, 3x, or 4x speeds :)
Thanks Taylor and Mike! The restoration really is about restoring these precious truths about the basic principles and princes of the gospel and the authority to administer and govern them! Really enjoyed how you simplified this and emphasized the importance of these simple truths!
Thanks for joining with us!
Thanks Taylor and Mike! Excited to lessen from you two this year!
It will be great!
Thanks Taylor and Mike! I’m so excited to start D&C with you guys!!!

You're welcome 😊
Thank you for your enriching commentary.
Thanks for listening
I also find it astounding how Moroni shows his love and concern for the lamanites.
Agreed!
I’m so sad we are wrapping up the BoM. I’m grateful for the year I’ve been able to learn from both of you two Taylor and Mike! My one comfort… I’m hyped for D&C!
See you soon on the D&C side!
@ I can’t wait! D&C is definitely my weakest book of scripture so I can’t wait to learn a lot from you guys this year!
Thanks for the powerful lesson!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Taylor and Mike! I am so grateful for your lessons that help me better understand my Savior!
Thanks for being here with us!
The Book of Mormon The Book of Gods love endures forever The Book of hesed Lots of really cool interpretations!
You've nailed it.
8:49 @ScriptureInsightsLearning I think another synonym of "laying hold" would be to cling to. I'm a visual thinker/learner so the image of laying hold would be akin to "hold on for dear life". Like those water rescues from helicopters: the person being rescued doesn't just have a light grip or is just holding on loosely. It reminds me of President Nelson's warnings that if we are going to spiritually survive, we need to cling to and lay hold to our testimonies of Jesus Christ, and to Him through the Holy Ghost.
Cool insight!
Beautiful message😇🙏. I'm following along with my 1835 version that is just such a beautiful book! It has a little bit more in it than the one we have now as it hasn't been altered by carnal men so it'll be fun listening to the difference. Great lesson!!
Thanks for watching.
