Your explanation is halfway and it will open emulator but you should tell how to connect to VS Code and you should show connecting and displaying info on emulator.

For those who are facing issues, it's probably because of some subtle changes in folder structure.
As of now (march 2023) inside SDK folder we have a separate folder called 'emulator', that is where you should go. Once you are there, copy the location and use this location in .bat file instead of the one shown in video.
New location of emulator: C:\Users\ {userName here} \AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\emulator

I create a new project (Cntl-Shift-P or via the command-line: flutter create newproj), followed by,
flutter pub get
Yet when I try to select an android device, it always fails (timeout) trying to connect. I've tried everything, even installing Android Studio and cloning phones in the Virtual Device Manager.. no luck. Flutter doctor shows everything green.
Is there a way to connect an actual android device (developer option enabled) instead of trying to run an emulator that can't seem to ever connect?
