    @ about @14:00 he describes basically taking other breaks the same way hip hop DJ's would play the same section.... Just in a modern sampling way with a couple extra bells and whistles. Really cool.

    traktor + loops very unique .. bravo ^^

  • @TheSonorabob

    talkin about eliminating cabling.... I am super into looms, and this could honestly be built as a big coffin - single check on, all stays wired, and it's basically a big pedal board or two... Requires some thought, but this sort of rig could really be cleaned up in a nice way if it's a relatively consistent setup.

    I've noticed that Dubfire does add drum sequences on top of a track a lot in his sets, In this video he does it with the ableton push but is it possible to do something similar with the f1 adding an effect to a drum loop?

      the new traktor 2.1.1 has a step sequencer for remix decks, thats gonna be very useful for what you want

      Yes. There are a hundred ways to do that. Watch the DJ TechTools tutorials on Remix Decks and Remix Deck sequencing.

      Luka Sikl just seeing this interview and in turn just reading through your comment. I’d say that yes, in theory he could hi pass whatever track he is playing and run whatever loop he wants to add on top. Whether he is able to make it sound decent is another question. I’d say that it would be semi tricky while playing a live set listening through monitor speakers. Though if you have a decent ear and have experience with loud clubs/monitor speakers you can get it done.

      F1 has individual filter knobs for each column .. you can filter out bass frequency from there or low cut the 4th channel on your mixer

    Can we just have Dubfire and Endo do all fucking tutorials from now on so we aren't tortured by all these HERBS with flower baseball caps and surfing t-shirts talking incessantly yet explaining nothing whatsoever - AFTER they make you fast forward through their terrible new album or track!

    Every time Richie Hawtin add a new tool on his setup (Push, new traktok deck controller), Dubfire do the same thing. He don't have personality he always copies his Idol or talk about him. For instance the video: "How I play" he said that he uses a lot his "snake delay" to stand out as do Richie with his Lexicon Delay (Playing with time, feedback). Also for the wear, when Richie start to wear black T-shirt and black slim jeans dubfire did the same thing. He's an amazin producer and Dj so He should have is own personality.

      These guys are old and way out of ideas. They just play these live setups where they add in a few extra percussions and shit. Easy payday.

    So. FFWD ->> It's 2022. All the hate in the comments is no longer relevant/applicable (which is HILARIOUS) Especially since 320 mp3 is now a standardized format...because, well, no one cares about your wavs anymore lol. I've heard a handful of Ali's mixes and what he's saying still applies, it's whatever works for YOU that matters (as far as your rig) You wanna carry around all that gear and get hounded at security or robbed? Go right ahead. You wanna carry your rig in a backpack? Go ahead. Only thing that matters...is can you hold a dancefloor? Also, the old-school RUclips hate-mongers are the same ones that realize today, spreading this kind of stuff is perpetually offensive and only stunts the culture from progressing. Are you Ali? Sharam? Have you had 1% of the success as DJ's as they have while you sit in your high castle? These are hard questions to ask. Oh and the guy at the end SMH should have been edited out, that was your 53 year old burn out DJ who still plays raves on records in the middle of the woods for an audience of 12. His comments were purely trolling all three of the people on the stage. F that guy lol. As for me? IMO enjoy everything about Traktor except for that it's made by Native Instruments. Their GUI's have always been clunky and just plain ugly & weird.

    This is simply too much gear, you lose out on the entire idea of simply DJing. This is not DJing but more so of a productive Live set.

    • @vasil.6842

      RockstahRolln Thats the point . A level further than just mixing two tracks together which is easy .

      mollyoko I kept watching, but seems a little backwards that he'd spend upwards of $2000 on an interface to make mp3s sound better. Would make more sense to just grab the lossless files!

    • @RockstahRolln
      @RockstahRolln 9 лет назад

      tekneeq Little does he know. I guess he has money to burn and...., he LOVES his toys as you can see.

    • @mollyoko

      Any dj that 'plays' mp3's really isn't thinking about their audience/fans, just themselves.

    • @kaiworleyphotography
      @kaiworleyphotography 9 лет назад +8

      mollyoko If the track has been mixed and mastered professionally an mp3 will be more than fine: a poorly mastered WAV/AIFF would sound worse than a properly mastered mp3.
      The difference between mp3/WAV etc is only marginal and most people are unable to tell the difference anyway. The reason he uses the external soundcard is because THAT makes more of a difference to sound quality than using WAV/AIFF file formats.
