Excellent interpretation. One of my favourite pieces for sure, it's just too hard for me to play though. I can't get the essentially two separate pieces to go together, the melody and the lower strings - it's a bit like the separation of hands on the piano, there is another level of skill I just don't have for this.
Thank you very much. I like the piece a lot too! It can be tricky to play, but one thing I like to think about with the issue you brought up of two parts: think vertically instead of horizontally. Instead of the lines as they move across the staff, the vertical instances where notes are played simultaneously. Then you can separate voices for phrasing, etc., but especially when I am learning a piece I think vertically to get the fingerings down. Hope that helps, because it's a great joy to play this piece!
