Mike, make sure you check your engine air filter after driving 900 kms on a dusty road!! If you don’t know how to do that, find someone who can help, it’s not hard. Very important!

Thanks! We do make sure to change it out regularly on the road

@@LetsJustGoTravel Good! The Ecoboosts require very short oil change intervals given they have twin turbos and the resultant blow by. Don't go by the onboard oil change monitor, it's not sufficient. I've owned and leased dozens of F150s with the Ecoboosts for both personal and business use and we adhere to 5000-7000 km (max) oil change intervals with a new oil filter and a fully synthetic motor oil like Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 or Amsoil 5W30. We've yet to have any issues with phasers or turbo problems.
Love your videos! Maybe turn down/off the background music when you're talking?

I get lots of cars in my bay at work with the winter wheels full of dirt and rocks. I have to wash them off the car individually or there is a giant vibration.

Congrats. Truck issues are not fun. I had the same thing yesterday towing my rig. Bent drive shaft. Uhh. Great vid as always.

Glad the mud in the wheel deal was a simple fix. We have actually had that happen with our Subaru on the road we live off of. Thankful you guys did such a good job on documenting the Dempster cause we have decided against trying it ourselves LOL

Congrats on the trip. That was a major accomplishment. I had the same issue on my 166 with the tongue jack. I called the company and they told me how to clean the leads. It worked for about a month and now it's sporadic, off and on, I'll be curious to see if you find a solution.

I had the same problem with my tongue jack switch. I opened the jack removed the switch, sprayed the heck of it with electrical contact cleaner reassembled. It has been working ever since.

Thanks for the suggestion! Ours probably needs a good cleaning. I’ll give it a shot and see if it helps.

re: Mud in wheels...It is a thing, either you or tire shop will need to remove and wash the mud out of the wheels once it becomes unbalanced.

Congrats on completing the Dempster highway! So now, with all the issues travelling on that dirt road, would you do it again?

Haha as of now, I think once is enough! Maybe when I’m older I’ll feel nostalgic and want to do it again 😂

Regarding your hitch issue…..it can be changed to a bulldog style coupler, much safer and easier to hookup or unhook especially if the rig is not level.

So glad you are back from the Arctic Ocean and on your way to home. You are so good about handling things that do not go as planned. And glad things that were wrong did not turn out to be a huge fix and repair. I am sure it felt good to get out for a hike also. Hopefully you will get home with no more hassles. Looking forward to more adventures.
