Determining which answer choice is "safest" includes a variety of criteria that must be considered before one can simply say "that's safe." I'd love to see you use more specific examples of what determines "safe". A LOT of students and new grads struggle with this concept. Additionally, considering the ABC's - there must be evidence of "danger". Too many times test-takers choose the "breathing problem" - although it may be expected and directly related to a chronic condition. Knowing how to determine HOW the question is challenging you is extremely helpful when using concepts, rules, and guidelines to make decisions. All of these are just some deeper and more complex considerations when developing strategies for NCLEX success. Thanks for the work you're doing Nursejanx.

With respect to you, I studied questions all the way up toe the day of the test. Not because I was anxious about not knowing enough, I was confident, but I did it so that it wouldn't freak me out to get these questions the day of the test. I suffered from test anxiety all throughout nursing school and they talked up the NCLEX as this big bad wolf of a test all throughout nursing school. I wanted to just get so used to answering questions that they don't make me anxious anymore. It worked! 75 questions later, I was cool as a cucumber and passed my NCLEX. What I am trying to say is there will always be an element of "to each their own." If you are anxious about the kinds of questions that can be on the test, just try to study in a comfortable, relaxed environment (for me, it was starbucks with my brother in law who was also in the program). I agree that you know your stuff to the point that you CAN take 2 days off before the test and for a lot of people that would be a great idea, but if you are nervous about the kinds of questions, just familiarize yourself in a calm environment a little bit each day and it will be a lot more like second nature. :)

How I passed in 75 questions first try: team up with a classmate, one person buy the UWorld test bank, one person buy Kaplan. Exchange passwords and use both programs equally. Do 50-75 questions per day, and read ALL rationales including the ones you got right. Do this for a month before your test and once you consistently get in the 60%+ on your practice quizzes you are ready!!

@@rayt2781 Hi Ray, I logged into Pearson 4 hours later and it let me log in. I attempted the Pearson trick and I received the good pop-up. The next day, it would not let me log in until later that night. I still got the good pop up later that night. 2 days later, I didn't have to buy the $8 unofficial results. I received an email instead from BON that I was officially licensed.

For anyone wondering, I stopped at 245 out of the 265 questions. I ran out of time and utilized the full 6 hours. It was exhausting and I was sure I failed. I had so many SATA and priority questions that I was sure the CAT had determined those were my weaknesses. In the end, I passed. Good luck to all and even though you may doubt yourself, just keep going. You got through Nursing school so you are competent enough to handle these situations.
