I definitely agree with not doing any questions the day before. Not only is this not going to help you retain anything you don't already know but it may hurt your confidence level if you score poorly on that practice test, which in turn will make you unnecessarily anxious for the exam. Most of the time when someone fails the NCLEX, it isn't due to a knowledge gap but rather because they psyched themselves out and panicked during the test. Try to relax and just think of the NCLEX as another block on UWorld or whatever prep software you used.

I used the lippincott Q&A and answered it for 3 months. Read the Kaplan strategies book. I passed at 75. It was just crazy to have 33 SATA's plus 5 pictures and 2 ecgs. I thought Lippincott was just goin overboard with the amount of SATA's in the book, but omg thank goodness that book prepared me well. It felt like I was just taking a quiz.

Well according to the pearsonvue trick I passed!!!!
I agree the test prep was definitely harder than the actual exam. My school provided Kaplan for us, I was getting anywhere from 53-75% on the practice exams and qbank questions. I did find the exam easier, yes there were some tough questions but I knew statistically I was fine.
Honestly after watching this video I kept studying but I was able to go in calm, confident. I got almost giddy waiting to test because I have been repeating over and over that I will pass, there is no if.

I’m waiting the 2 days w no VUE trick bc I’m scared to check lol but I seen a past video of you that made me feel like this is the best video ever. You nailed the description of it perfectly and have great motivation. I hope to have passed ! I had such strange questions too. Like I feel like my kaplan prep was so much harder. When I started nursing school I kept saying I want to get cut off at 75 questions. When I took the NCLEX at the 1 hr mark I was at 30-35 questions. I just knew I got one question right. At the 2 hr mark I at between 62-65 and I took my break. I went to the bathroom and I prayed. I prayed so hard begging Jesus to let me redeem myself because I had 2 dosage calculation questions and those were the only ones I knew I had right. Please let my test stop at 100. Nope . I went back and my test stopped at 75. My legs turned into spaghetti noodles. I knew I failed but I ended up passing. 😊

How is one person so knowledgeable and calmly reassuring, thank you for all you do for nursing students. I took my NCLEX-RN this morning after studying with UWORLD and Mark Klimmek audios. I got 189 questions with 38 SATA. I was mostly high-level difficulty questions for me. I walked out unsure but unwavered in my faith because I know i gave the process my all. I did the pearsonvue trick an hour after the email came in and 2 hours after and I passed!!!!

Ana Powell deff try to stay calm and relaxed. If you successfully completed your nursing program, then you can pass the NCLEX. I had a good nights rest and had a very small amount of caffeine before the test. If I wasn’t sure of a question, I made the best educated guess. Never just blindly pick an answer without thinking critically. I hope this helps :)

I have super bad anxiety about the NCLEX so I am taking the NCLEX-PN in March before I graduate my RN program in May and take the NCLEX-RN in June. Do you know how similar/different the NCLEX-PN is to the NCLEX-RN? I have heard the questions are almost identical other than delegating and leadership questions. If I pass the NCLEX-PN should I pass the NCLEX-RN??

Hello Nursejanx. I just took my boards and unfortunately failed. I made it to 145 questions and used archer. I did enjoy archer and would still recommend them. I was wondering, leading to the second attempt, what advice to you have to where I could do better next time? do you think i should try a different NCLEX prep course continue with archer? Whats the best course of action?

@@Nursejanx someone told me that I want to ask if you know of this to be true, you can pass the NCLEX PN or RN with knowing only 60% material. I had someone tell me to go and find the chart for percentages on NCLEX PN and add up the BIGGEST percentages up to 60% and STUDY THE CONTENTS FOR THEM. Do questions on those solely because the computer will cut off after you are testing on every single percentage. True or False

@@Queendani79 I don't know about 60% of material, but answering about 60% of the NCLEX correctly could definitely be a passing result... so long as you are getting the harder questions and testing above the passing threshold consistently

Definitely always ask questions and be sure to be supervised whenever you are doing something new. Always good if you can prepare the day prior to clinical on the patients you will be assigned to because you can look up all of their medications and some of their history which will help you follow along better.

Does the test still cut off once you get a certain number of them correct?

  • @BigClaudeGaming

So basically the NCLEX is to test you to see how safe you are? It asks you questions from everything you learned but wants to see how safe you are doing the things you learned correctly. Right?

I failed in 145. So annoyed lol. On ATI predictor I scored 80.7 which gives 99% chance. Uworld I’m at 63%. One assessment I scored 78% which gives a very high chance of passing 96th percentile. My issue was the questions and more importantly the answer options. They were garbage. It was extremely vague which is nothing like Uworld and ATI. Now I need to use a different subscription like archer I heard.

I don't think it should cut off at 75 questions for people who the computer detects failed. They didnt even get a chance to redeem themselves during the test. The computer can't predict how well you'll do on the next set of questions....unless of course they're all the same questions asked in different ways.
