It's always a thrill at a Larkin Poe show when they drop into "Summertime Sunset". They walk on almost demurely, very southern belle. Then RebL drops the hammer and it's on for the next hour. Wonderful musicians and people. If there is one word to describe a LP performance is "joyful".

The girls are the business. Their latest album, "Blood Harmony", recently won a Grammy Award which is somewhat overdue recognition of their brilliance.
Hi Jessica, thanks for another great reaction to my requests. The lead singer is Rebecca Lovell and it's her sister Megan on slide guitar. You are so right about giving some credit to the other band members. The bassist is Tarka Layman who has played and toured with the band for several years now. The drummer is Ben Satterlee who replaced Kevin Mcgowan, who moved on before the most recent tour, and is the drummer on most of the other videos that you have reacted to.
Aloha Jessica? Did you know that Larkin Poe's older 3rd sister is named Jessica! The Warning and Larkin Poe are my top 2 bands! Totally different genres of Rock but they have commonality! Both bands were classically trained on piano...the Lovell sisters also learned violin as well. Both sets of parents are not musicians but love music of all kinds, especially Rock, and supported their daughters journey into music. And the Lovells are some of the most humble human beings you would ever want to meet, just like the Villarreals! Their collective parents really raised fantastic women!! Both bands totally committed to their chosen genre of Rock! Larkin Poe just won their first Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album. I'm hoping for The Warning to be recognized next year as well. I've followed LP for a few years now. I've seen them once in this configuration. I'm excited that they're getting some traction. You may not feature them on your reactions, but they did many living room performances during the pandemic. My favourite is Wicked Game. If you haven't checked their earlier stuff out, it's often more mellow. Edit: I see that you have. Try Banks of Altoona.
