- On June 13th, 2022, English singer, songwriter and musician Nilüfer Yanya, joined us at the Leon Loft for an intimate live performance and interview with Acoustic Cafe's, Rob Reinhart.
This was Yanya’s first time at the Loft, but her second time performing live on Acoustic Cafe. Joined on stage by musical collaborator Jazzi Bobbi, she performed songs from her new album, “Painless.” (released March 4, 2022) including “Midnight Sun”, “Thanks 4 Nothing”, “the dealer”, and “Angels”.
You can find Painless, Yanya’s second album, on all streaming platforms. Vinyl, merch, and more can be found at the ATO Records online shop - shop.atorecord...
In between songs, Yanya discussed her difficult-to-pinpoint genre, writing music during the COVID-19 pandemic, and her musical family. To listen to the Acoustic Cafe show in its entirety, visit www.acafe.com
The Leon Loft is an intimate, live performance space upstairs at the Leon Speakers headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We’re proud to have welcomed some of today’s biggest artists to our stage for a live recording of Acoustic Café with host Rob Reinhart.

midnight sun is giving me the chills- every time i hear it!
ANGELS IS SUCH A BANGER
0:30 midnight sun
8:44 chase me
15:33 the dealer
23:50 angels
Jazzy improvises soo sweet.
Amen. So damn good, both of them.
Uhm, the interviewer should start learning how to ask open questions, if they want to engage the artist in telling any stories... Apart from that, Nilüfer Yanya is just amazing. And I love her guitar sound! Always reminds me of very early The Cure - and that's a good thing to be reminded of! :)
thanks for the heads up. lame interviews are lame. Nilufer Yanya is so awesome. I hope she continues
*(ps: the Cure feel from her guit is prob bc the chorus effect.. and ya the playing style too - weird I never heard that Cure parallel before you mentioned. Her melodies and voice are so unique i never thought of cure even though i grew up w them. every album to wish. RSmith played through Roland Jazz Chorus amps and i imagine w stereo split
it's a sound for sure
Wow, thanks!
Just found a great new artist! Thank you!
Incroyable
Midnight sun is a miracle' it's happened to me
Like when i first heard Sade
Oh my gosh. Midnight sun??!!!
爱死她了
that er, do they talk about their work with you? so rude, really offensive implication, he's clearly uncomfortable she is solid and not being thrown off. if he doesn't want to be pleasant, respectful, he shouldn't bother doing this job. love to Nilüfer
