This vid saved my butt, That little spring valve next to to hole for the filter just fell out when I pulled the filter out. I stopped this video to see hoe it's supposed to be, they don't build things secure anymore. at 10:48 you can see it to the left of the filter hole, BE CAREFUL there's no warnings in any manual telling a guy the stuff can fall out if bumped
@@davonwalker7336 I don’t know the name but I know those three lines connect to the pump and one of them has an inline filter not sure of the name…..are you trying to replace yours ?
Nice video, I do most my maintenance on my cars , but this is one of the reasons I like to take the car to the shop, I don't like making my driveway look like a murder scene with transmission fluid
all of the metal shavings were stuck to the magnet stuck on the old filter housing, hope you cleaned off the magnet and place it back in the circle indentation on the inside bottom of the trans pan were it belongs. be sure to torque your trans pan bolts to 7-9ft lbs so you dont split the gasket
Q. What will be the best way to take out some old Transmission Oil from an Impala to use it for another Impala that just got a complete flush and now is taking time time to change shift. Taking time to enganged.
Check the fluid condition first. Make sure it’s not dark in color and doesn’t have a burning smell. If it checks out good you can go ahead and change it

appreciations for sharing
Did it yesterday it was super easy especially when you pump out most of it through the top

Superb video! Thank you!
Is it the same location for 3.6 l malibu?
I have a 2011 chevy impala would go nowhere but no tranny leake are anything could it be that i need to change it
Thanks for the video! At what mileage did you change the fluid. I have a 2006 at 48k miles on it if you can believe that
I heard every 50 k miles
For my 09 Buick Lucerne 3.9 the owners manual say to change fluid and filter at 100k first, then every 50k after that
@@Chomochad do you know where i can get torque specs for my transmission bolts? It doesn’t seem to say on my owners manual
