Genuine question how do you guys not get flagged for copyright? How long can you play between commentary before it becomes an issue?

We do get flagged. Almost every video. And it hurts our exposure. Every music company is different with their rules. Every artist is different too. It's a nightmare to navigate. There are multiple layers. There is copyright strikes and copyright claims. We get copyright claimed 90% of the time.
We dispute each and every time. Copyright claim means the artist gets all the advertising money that the video generates through advertising. Which we are fine with. We dispute it through the Fair Usage laws. Reaction videos are protected. However, RUclips clearly chokes the exposure to our claimed videos. If you see our videos that have 20 to 30K of views, each of them was not claimed.
Every reaction person deals with this. Not just us. If you're interested, look up Rick Beato on RUclips. He's the boss on this subject. He's testified in front of congress. RUclipsrs have zero control over this. What you want to avoid is a copyright strike. It's like baseball. You get 3 of them and you're out. You lose your channel.
Claims suck for exposure, but don't hurt your standing. We talk over videos a lot. Because we have a lot to say. However, we have found the more you talk, the less likely you'll get copyright flags. Long stretches of music allows the software to identify the song.
Hope this helps? We're certainly not experts in this area, we're going off what we have learned by trial and error.

@@DAMmusicshow that does help! Thanks! I do a stream on Reddit where I let people request songs and essentially react/give my take on the song. It’s allowed on Reddit because you can’t monetize on Reddit. But I’ve been wanting to start a RUclips channel doing something similar. Sounds tough, but that is the type of channel I am most interested in making. Thanks for the info guys! Keep doing what you’re doing.

If you strip away the video and the schtick from the music itself then it doesn't seem silly anymore. I think he's a great artist and he writes good music. I think he might be a genius, he's taking a very different approach to the fame and music industry. He doesn't ever show his true self, even on social media. I'm not sure he wants to be famous unless he's putting on the schtick of "oliver tree" I'm sure he has a lot of friends and family that know him well and that person I think is a lot different from what we see. Even in the studio when writing music I'm sure he's a normal individual because his songs are about his life and his experiences and he's a great writer. But to promote and make money I think he puts this schtick on.

Fair enough. There's likely a lot of truth in this statement. Thank you for the comments and your approach.
