… thank you so much for the video on how to replace the sealant kit - had the part, but could not figure out at all how to open up the frame to switch out the sealant containers!
I have a 2016 Mustang GT. Tire Mobility Kit Light came on last week. Went to the dealership. Was told I had to buy the entire rig for around $240. Seemed odd. Kept calling around. Found an honest dealer who ordered the replacement sealant for me for $60. I had no idea how to install it until I found this video. Thank you, James.
Thank you very much for this informative video...mine was due for a replacement cartridge and couldn’t figure out how to open the casing without cracking it... thanks again!!
After 2 years you are still helping us out. I had to use our sealant tonight on my wife’s “21” mustang and had no clue how to replace the cartridge. Thank you for your video. I called autozone and they said they have replacements so I’ll find out tomorrow morning for sure or not.
Thank you for the vid bro, I was looking everywhere for a simple way to access and replace the air canister instead of taking it to the dealership so thanks for the very helpful and informative explanation.
Thank you thank you THANK YOU JAMES! This was SUCH a HUGE help to me. So many other vids only talk about hooking the unit to the tire etc but I couldn’t find a way to remove and replace my sealant canister until now. Big BIG help! Great work my friend!
I just bought the spare tire kit for my '17 (spare, scissor jack and lug wrench) for $300 - I keep cars 10+ years and don't know why I didn't do it sooner.
Thanks for making this easy enough for a child to understand. Had to use my unit for the first time today and the drawings on the top are useless... 🤷♂️
OMG, the mustang too? I just purchased the Ecosport and it came with this crazy tire repair system, no spare. Is this less expensive than even providing donut tires now?
Thanks for doing the video. My daughter's Jeep Compass has what looks to be the exact same inflator as what you showed. Were you able to get the replacement sealant canister online? The jeep dealership says it is on backorder. What was the cost for the Ford replacement canister? The Jeep version is $98. Thanks for your help.
Where do you order the replacement canister? I'm losing my mind trying to search for just the sealant replacement. Everything I find shows me a completely new kit.
I am sorry for the late response, this one came with my kit. But I see they selling the actual liquid separately and I don’t know how good it is www.fordpartshouse.com/oem-parts/ford-sealant-liquid-ta363?origin=pla&gclid=CjwKCAjwrvv3BRAJEiwAhwOdMyfMCJElrYJbvXp3K_aVeWCYdYlrYvLAxWnBjhEoV5uQyu-zi4PPERoCVjQQAvD_BwE
I went on Amazon and E bay. Finally bought www.amazon.com/Slime-10011-Emergency-Sealant-Trailer/dp/B000C11PYW/ref=pd_ybh_a_6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=WYJRP3GPT0KTH8B643ZW which is a 16 Oz tube normally used alone but can easly be used to Re-fill the original Ford canister. It is very easy to take out the used canister as shown in this video and use the new tube to pour into the old canister and put it all back together.
Why in the world would anybody spend big bucks to replace the sealant in the tire inflation kit when, for the cost of about eight to $12 you can get a can of fix a flat that does the same thing?
Wow, l have never seen a RUclips video host start with a simple “Hello”. Nicely done.
