    This was great info guys thank you! I’m a new store and my only sales are from people that know me. So no Etsy traffic yet. After listening to this I turned ads back on for $1 a day. Everything else I’m doing, so I’m just waiting and continuing to list. You did confirm for me that I need to research a less popular niche I’ve been thinking about. Hoping to kill it there! Thanks so much!

    Looking at bestsellers vs star seller - you’re looking at it from seller perspective, its easier for us to research products by having bestseller option. But for customer - looking at bestsellers means we are buying things most other people are buying. That is like shopping in walmart. At the same time, looking for star seller as a customer tells me that I can expect great experience in getting my order or addressing a potential problem.

    Localization of search is the biggest beef I have with Etsy right now. The search was already messed up now it's 1000% worse. I understand that corporations are being pushed to developed RCF policies and implement them, however, there is really no reduced carbon footprint when an item(s) ship from China to a local warehouse and then are dispatched locally from there to the buyer. A lot of CARBON was exuded for the items to get from China to the local warehouse for the seller could achieve the local listing aspect. Is there any chance these localized searches will go the way of the dodo and soon?

    I’ve received mixed feedback regarding Etsy ads and how many listings you should run at once. For instance, I have a $100 daily limit, maxed out, 20 listings, and Etsy is spending $4 a day for the last month. Too many items listed? Thanks for all the great content!

    • @brandcreators
      @brandcreators  10 месяцев назад +1

      Them only spending $4 would indicate that you have a demand problem not a "too many listings problem" if etsy isn't spending yoru budget it's not likely to be due to having "too many options"

      Strange that you said that because 99% of the comments say the complete opposite. Many people seem to find this extremely helpful and insightful.
      Not to be offensive but if something is out of your range of understanding, you may just not have had much time in this space yet. It does take time to develop knowledge and there are a lot of creators who target people who ARE just starting out or who may want simplified breakdowns in snippet videos.

      In simple terms:
      Pack up your things, create an ebay joblot, sell all the stock, and close your store.
      The days of half-arsed listing descriptions, grainy photos and zero effort are gone.
      So if you can't make it through 15 minutes of information you actually need to know to succeed, you're doomed.
