Just rewatching some of your old ones. This one was good as it had some of our faves in there. The Ayam goreng Lalapan looked really good! I’ve got that on my list to see if I can find it when we are back over 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yep, yum!
Thanks Kim and Berg this video is my new favourite, loved it 😁. We loved Mimpi and now have these to also try and wow amazing food at amazing prices and great support for locals. Yes please to a South version.
Thanks, we’re glad you enjoyed it.
This video I come back to a thousand times
Many there I have to go to
Great run down guys
Especially warung mbok luh sindu
A definite go to
Our very favourite!
Thanks very much for the vid guys. Very helpful and may try one or two of these out during our next trip to Bali 😃
You’re welcome Ben, thanks for watching & subscribing.

This is just what I needed. I can research till the cows come home, but this gives me a "real time" look and feel. Thankyou for taking the time to share this info....it is INVALUABLE for those of us retirees who stay for 2 months and need to stick to a bit of a budget. Is it "minta bayar" when calling for the bill? I can only find formal words for this. Would looooove to see more...especially because we tend to stay mostly in the south around Duyung. Can't thankyou both enough.
Thank you, and yes minta bayar means your asking to pay.
This is great. We ate at Mimpi Manis quite often pre COVID. So glad to see it back up and running. Would love to see a video like this but for the southern end. Usually we stay the northern end of Tamblingan but this time we are heading south. A bit out of our comfort zone.
Thanks, we think we’ll do that for our next video.
As well the Coconuttree. I performed with the band two nights and they gave me a lot of Arak. The food there is amazing!
Thanks for watching
We are coming to Sanur at Christmas and I would really like to eat at the local Warungs this time instead of at the restaurants and hotel as I think it is more authentic- very informative video and look forward to trying the food at the warungs
Thanks Ana we’re glad you enjoyed, the local Warungs are our favorite.
So much food! Watching is making us wishing we were there too!! We hope to be back soon enjoying the food 😋
Thank you
That a brilliant video we are staying in the Sanur area in October and the seeing’s appeared to be so big once again thank you
Thank you
haha, Hey berg I hear you say a couple of times "Tanpa sayur" (without vegie0, Me the rabbit I am would be saying "hanya sayur dan mungkin
saya akan punya banyak sayur" ( Only veggie and maybe I will have lotsa veggies" However Berg I liked your French fries with Mozzarella at Mbok Luh's. Hey Kim I liked your Nasi Goreng Sayur ...everything so cheap...so appreciative of being showed the menus.I wondered what the Sayur Hijau (Green Vegies) might look like? Very much liked this restoran sojourn (Thanks heaps)
😂 thanks Victor
Thank you, Bergs, well done and very interesting. You guys seem to be on top of the world over there! Half your luck.
Thanks
This is very helpful and valuable to me as I’m flying to Bali next week on a budget 2 month holiday thank you both very much
Thank you, we love it when we’re helpful to people.
Loved the warungs you sampled, great way to eat, well done.
Thanks Alan
This was great. Heading to Sanur tomorrow. 1st time to Bali.
Wow that’s exciting for you, thanks for watching 😎🌴👍👍
I found a local restaurant fantastic in front the sea that was great. Just in the middle of the posh hotels.
Thank you. I need to know where to get the right flavours at the right price! You’re doing a great job of documenting your local life for us visitors, so helpful when I just want to eat a good soto ayam.
Kudos for speaking Indonesian too.
Thanks
Hi from rosebud melb like your blogs both so happy 🎉
Thanks for watching Maxine, we appreciate that 😎🌴
Great video & lots of options..terimah kasih 😊
Excellent! Thank you for sharing
Nice....🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
welcome and happy holidays uncle and aunt...
Great viewing. Am I correct in saying you would recommend any of these Warung's ?
We still eat at many of them regularly! They’ve become favourites 🤩 but I think they’re all good 👍
Western warungs with iced tea,try local warungs with local food, babi guling, sasak food, indonesian food,no tomatoes,no iced tea.come to Lombok change your menu and what you pay,all fresh. fresh seafood a specialty
Hi guys. When you were eating on the beach at the beginning, where is that? We are coming to Sanur in May and are wanting to eat on the beach at warungs. Haven’t been to Sanur, so not sure if north or south is better for eating. Thanks, Chelsea
It’s was at Segara Ayu beach at the north end. Thanks for watching & Subscribing
Hi spent six weeks in Bali in 2022. Coming again in march for six months and then probably will retire in Bali. Have been watching your vlogs and wondering how the new visa requirements have affected you.
Thanks for watching, we’re still not sure how it will affect new retirees to Bali.
Terimakasih banyak Kim dan Berg.
Semoga suatu saat saya bisa tinggal di Bali🙏🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺
Terima kasih untuk menonton dan subscribing
Love it guys..
Thanks
Thanks for the video, shows me some different places to eat when I am in Sanur next. I always eat at local warungs, street food and markets. Hardest thing I have found is finding black rice pudding in Sanur, any ideas?
They have it at Mimpi Manis and Izakaya
@@bergsinbali great, thank you
Loved, loved your video. May i ask a question? I’ve had weight loss surgery and only eat tiny portions lol.. does anywhere do kids meals or are they ok if you take any leftovers home? Hoping to retire there next year!💕
Hi Mo, I always carry a takeaway container with me & usually take some of my meal home to eat later. If you look closely at the end of each video, there’s often a little container sitting there 😀. They’re happy to wrap it for you anyway.
Good luck with your retirement!! I love it when peoples’ plans work out
Would you say that North Sanur has more of these affordable warungs? Thks! Great video!
Yes I think there are more North. We’re currently doing one on the South end.
@@bergsinbali Will keep an eye out for it! thks for all you share! 🙏
The food looked great for the price. The noodles and the chicken soup.
They’re both delicious
second warung Kakepo is not to be recommended - they have no running water, so all their dishes are just "rinsed" in a bucket
Okay. Thanks for watching
Ubud appears to be twice your Sanur prices, interesting.
We are staying at the Mecur sanuar, is this a good place to stay !!!!
Ummmm. Depends what you’re looking for? It’s older style, reportedly needing upgrades. Reviews say the pools are really hot! We love a refreshing pool.
The beach area is lovely & there are nice restaurants around to enjoy 🤷♀️😊
Loved this one! Just wondering, what sort of "tip" would you leave at these Cheap Eats? I usually leave a tip of maybe 20K to 50K, even more at times. I know it's a very personal thing, but if the whole meal was $10AUD and I left a $5AUD Tip wouldn't that be excessive, or even embarrass the Vendor? Love your opinion on this one!
Hmmmm… everyone is different! Holidaymakers tend to do more tipping than expats that we know.
You must try BOBBY'S Restaurant. Located between hotel prama sanur beach and hotel puri santrian. Sea side restaurant cozy place, cheap price👍👍 lets try😁😁😁
Thanks, it features in our video that will be released this afternoon
Wonder how much the prices have changed since then.
Interesting question. I would guess an increase of 5000idr or so based on what we’ve experienced from where we usually eat
I like vidio to Bali and lombok beach so very nice and bentifual 😊😍🙏👍
Thanks
Love it, soto ayam jealousy
Bergs favorite
I thought ice was always a bit sus in Bali?
Thanks for watching & subscribing Peter, there’s nothing wrong with having ice in Bali, everyone buys it in, even small warungs.
@@bergsinbali great, thanks for the prompt reply
Sorry guys can we hear what the food is like.
The food is delicious, fresh and tasty. Whilst I don’t like spicy food, Kim loves it crazy hot 😆. It’s great having so many choices close to home!
one can imagine what kind of soto ayam you get for 10k - its a chinese cube broth concentrate with MSG and cheapest chinese noodles made with god knows what chemicals. You'll pay much more for your health issues after eating this diet!
👍
Great vlog guys and great idea! Hey is it possible for you to allow subtitles on your vlogs? For us old and deaf people 🤣
Just crank up the volume 😆
Hey Bergs, How can my wife and myself correspond with you two directly. Have you got an email ? Cheers
