Everything to know about ALGS Split 2 (Tripods Update)

- In today's video, Deeds talks about the upcoming ALGS (Apex Legends) Pro League split starting on June 1st, results from the ALGS Split 1 playoffs that Reject Winnity won and how the seeding affects Tripods.
Deeds also answers POI questions, comp change questions, and any questions regarding using the Season 21 legend, Alter!
With the updates to Newcastle and Catalyst, they might be viable for comp again so Deeds breaks down what Tripods might be doing.

Love the Catalyst/Newcastle picks, maybe Valk too? Valk ulting from the top opening of Command Center is busted imo. You can get so far if it's a South zone with that.
That is a good strategy but unfortunately we are not landing command center so valk would not be of use to us.

Listen deeds.. the ultimate can be used when your teammates are knocked..meaning as long as you have cover(even a rock) and have one player holding it down, you can send out two players for free kills, if knocked, they can immediately use ult to come back to cover for rez. Can be used for free points on 3rd party late game fights. Any kills and you can then loot for more ammo/armor etc. Also, I had a terrible position with team. I had them shoot and smoke opponents while I ran for the ring. Popped my ultimate as ring closed on my teammates being pushed and they jumped to me in ring in cover. The second upgrade allows her ultimate to have no timer. So if you pop it and hold an area, eventually, your ultimate comes back and you can have two at times. Really good for running away after team loses a fight, drag the enemies, then pop to your ult(hopefully safe) and go all the way past them back to your squads death boxes for banners.
That is why he said in comp since it is completely different ball game then rank lol. Now DSG might be a team that will try it tbh.
I dont think we will try Alter. But if there is any teams who do we will be sure to watch to see how she performs in competitive play.
Except DarkZero tripods is in fairly easy group, much better than group B for example. Turns out, it was worth to tank and get last available place.

Alters so fun, I use her ult lots just to get my teammates back to me when we separate too
10:35 COMP predictions Bloodhound 38.9% pic rate. Newcastle 41.2% pic rate. Catalyst 47% pic rate. I think almost half the lobby will be playing either Blood/NCas/Cat or Blood/NCas/Caustic
If Bang is gone Bloodhound is no longer necessary. They are a combo pick IMO. And if Cat becomes meta, that makes BH even more useless because if I'm not mistaken, his scan doesn't work through Cat walls.
@@slow114 Yea and plus running bloodhound with a cat hurts your own team, your blood scans don't go through your own cat wall. It will be interesting to see what happens with blood in this next split of PL

no it wouldn't...they'd probably get in thru someone else's pl spot but wouldnt push us out

I don’t think Alter is good but I think if you’re playing a Loba comp then you should think about playing her instead and if her looting is enough and then you have everything else in her kit on the table.
