  • In this video, I show you how to do a simple slush casting using Smooth-on products! The silicone mold is made with Mold Max Stroke and cast in Smooth-Cast 320! A HUGE thank you to my wife Katie for the camera work on this one!

      You are VERY welcome RobbiLee100! I'm glad ya like them! Moldmaking can be a pain in the butt and sadly is a part of the whole operation of creation, but once you understand how it works, it does get easier!

      Hey Derek! I'm so glad you like my videos and I'm glad they have helped ya out! So I use Krylon Matte finish to seal my paint to my resin castings! I find it's the best stuff for me personally and it does a great job of locking those paints to the sculpt and protecting them!

    Question: why do you choose 320? Not 321 or 65D for example. Thanks

    • @Tobywaynestudios
      @Tobywaynestudios  7 лет назад

      So I have used 321 and I don't mind it-I think the last time I tried to order it, they were out so I went with 320-I do like the 320 for the color as I don't mix any tints with my resin nixland. I will say that I don't think I have ever used 65D?! I may have to give that a try-

    I went searching the internet for the best price on polyurethane resin. I want to get serious about casting small to medium pieces. Tap Plastics (local, no shipping) is 2x as expensive as what I found online. I will make a video of what I purchased.

      Dits amazing how expensive resins can be and yes, Tap is great for our convenience, but pretty spendy DARK RIDE - Nightmare on Wheels! Looking forward to spending some RUclips time today so I will be checking out your videos!!!
