these fingers sound so cute....a little bit to crochet but so cute and real when finished. hands of the doll is in progress and I am going to do the thing with it's hands. thanks for the tutorial
This is awesome Mary! I appreciate your kind words and I'm so happy you have enjoyed the pattern, this makes me happy! Have fun when you present her to your boss... kinda wish I was a fly on the wall, lol
Tnx verry much! It's so helpful! I'm crocheting Peppa pig and searching thru the net how to make fingers and boots and so small and now, after seeing this video,I think I will be able to make them! Tnx again! Great tutorial!
thank you very much! From time to time I still mess up too, lol it's much easier with lots of practice. I'm so glad you like the tutorial and I wish you all the best with your doll, I know your niece will love it :) Happy Crocheting!!
honestly you are a god send. Due to the way you teach/show how to complete your patterns I have been able to fix sooooooooooooo many others. It amazes me how many people post the wrong pattern or leave things out. I just wanted to say thank you because you have saved MANY of my gifts!!!
Oh my goodness, how wonderful to read your message! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I'm happy the patterns/videos are helpful, that means a lot! Happy Crocheting!!
they are so SO much more then helpful, I crochet because I have anxiety and it helps if I stay busy but I will admit you have saved a few meltdowns of mine!!! I look forward to any new videos!! have a great weekend:):)
bella jade I also crochet due to anxiety even when dont understand a pattern you wound think it brings on anxiety but it does help with my lifes anxiety.
The hand with fingers is so adorable! I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to in the next couple of days. Your videos are well done and easy to follow.
Sharon, I am making the Coraline doll for my boss using your printed pattern & watching your videos. I just wanted to let you know I like the way you did your videos. They are easy to understand & very professional. I am getting ready to do the hand on the first arm & so far the pattern is very easy to follow. I'm so excited to finish up & can't wait to see the look on my bosses face; she's going to freak out!!
that's awesome! I'm glad you like the tutorial and will give it a try. Takes a little practice to get fingers down but so worth the effort :) Thanks for taking the time to comment and happy crocheting!
Thank you! So glad you found the video helpful :) I appreciate the like even tho it wasn't posted. I have disabled that feature for a few reasons but thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it. Happy Crocheting!!
clever. i previously only made tiny dolls and often with wire in their fingers so I just wrapped the yarn around a looped wire; however I want to make a toddler soft toy now, so this soft finger tutorial is very appreciated. i hoped for something were I didn't have to saw in too many lose ends, but you make tying ends so easy. I'm glad I checked on the fingers before I even started, will be doing it this way all the time now :)
I'm working on the fingers right now (been procrastinating because they look challenging. But once you get going on them, they're not so bad. After the second arm/hand, the rest should be a piece of cake! Thanks again for such easy to understand directions.
you're welcome! Glad you found it helpful. Yes, shorter ones would make great toes! I haven't done it but maybe in the near future. Thanks for commenting :)
You are the best, thank you Sharon, you are the best teacher for Amigurumi I made a few now, since I started making them, yours are the best looking and easy to follow patterns
oh.. the like/dislike button? I don't have those options available..but I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and so glad to hear the tutorial was helpful :) Happy Crocheting!!
this video I know would be confusing if you didn't have the exact stitch count but it's really just a guide. Sounds like your mermaid is on the small side. Once you get to the end of the arm and you want to start the hand I would increase the number of stitches so that the palm of the hand is bigger than the arm then section off your fingers. So finish arm, increase stitches, then put a row in of single crochets then section off the fingers. Keep me posted :)
Thanks for this tutorial. I'll definitely use this in the future. To tell you the truth, I've never thought of using fingers. So far in toys, I've only crocheted cats and a bird. I bet the fingers could be crocheted shorter for toes on a paw. Only guessing though.
for sure.. one of these days I will do that :) There is another hand tutorial you might like better. I haven't tried it myself but it's a written tutorial. I can't link directly here but type in your address bar without spaces and dot means type a period, woolyltoons (dot) blogspot (dot) ca At this moment the hand tutorial is on the front page but if she writes another post you won't see it so just click on free patterns and you'll find it there. Hope that helps!
Mahalo for the tutorial, you are a great teacher, I can't stand it when the dolls or animals just have stumps, same with no nose or eyes on the faces ha ha
i like the video but it would help if you wrote it down even if every doll pattern is different like you said it's just a guide. the only reason i ask you to write it is cause its kinda hard to see everything in the video but other then that good job :)
Schade das man schon lange nichts mehr von dir hört. Ich hoffe nicht das du krank bist. Denn deine Video liebe ich genauso meine Frau. Sie häkelt fast alles nach. Schönes Weihnachtsfest im Kreise deiner lieben
I learned how to crochet by watching the GoldenJellyBean here on youtube show how to crochet the sackboy! I made one for my son and that was over 10 years ago now,. I'll link you to her video ruclips.net/video/Pc4OEbajGvA/видео.html

this is a very old video from 2011. All my videos from that time are fuzzy and not so good. I updated the video in 2014.. but I should do it again this year as I now upload in HD. My newer videos are better quality. Anyway, the one from 2014 also has a blog post with the written version ruclips.net/video/JALEPBcJ87E/видео.html

Me hubiera encantado desde el punto de patida para hacer la mano ya que esta en inglés. La mano es excelente!

This is way too confusing. Child glovrs maybe? I don't understand what you mean by crochet around those. ??? This makes no sense.
This is obviously not one intended to be worn.
