“Music helps” you are so right. It does and it can. We go through bad things and music will help you go through it. It’s audio therapy. Also everyone who says your not using the right equipment to hear the music are full of shit. The real fans like us first heard this and other music on tapes, with weak headphones or low quality speakers and it still blew or minds and changed our lives for the better. 🤘🏼

Don't think alot of us hate Metallica. I personally love everything that both of the bands put out in the 80s. Just as I "hate" Lars, I also lost a shitload of respect for Dave cuz he kicked JR out of the band.

Always loved both bands (everyone did), and still do, but....I will never give Mustaine another dollar after doing what he did to David. Jr stuck with Dave through decades of Dave's bullshit. Dave's been a asshole since birth, but this latest move shot him into the asshole stratosphere.

The lead guitar and drummer are two of the greatest virtuosos in the history of metal. Got to see this lineup live in 93 in a rare double bill with Aerosmith. Incredible.

Forgot to mention solid review. I like how dude would hear something he liked and reworded to play it again. That’s how your supposed to hear something new that you liked. This band has 2 songs that smoke enter sandman as far as slowed down metal songs go. One song is Trust and the other song is In my darkest hour which is a song he wrote in a matter of a few hours when he heard Cliff Burton who played Bass for Metallica had died in the tour bus which got into an accident. Then there’s A Tout Le Monde which is also a slower metal song.
I'd love to see y'all check out Institutionalized but Suicidal Tendencies and then the cover by Body Count which is Ice T's metal band. Bad-ass shit! 🤘🔥🖤

I'm probably the 100th person to say this, but there's a lot going on in the stereo mix in rock and metal music. Having one earphone each means you're missing stuff. Just saying.
For some context,the Holy Wars part was about the troubles in Ireland 🇮🇪 in the better part of the 20th century and Dave talking about it as a foreigner and getting death threats while on tour and The Punishment Due part after the Spanish or Arabian guitar sounding part is about the Marvel Comics character The Punisher

The second half of this track “The Punishment Due” is based on the story of Frank Castle, aka “The Punisher”. If you check out the lyrics it’s a pretty cool homage if you know anything about the character/Marvel universe.

I have to say as an old school metal head I very much enjoy seeing the younger generation discover the music I discovered in highschool think mid 80s and still love to this day.

Really enjoyed this reaction if you like Metallica a lot of the younger people don't realize that Dave Mustane the lead singer and guitar player for Megadeth started out as the lead guitarist for Metallica and even though they fired him before they put out their first record he wrote a lot of the music for it
Megadeth was formed my Dave Mustaine after he was ousted from Metallica just prior to their first album. He then recruited Dave Ellefson on bass, but the band has had a rotating lineup of drummers and co-lead guitarists since. Mustaine is now the only original member.
This album (Rust In Peace) was the first to feature Nick Menza on drums and Marty Friedman on guitar. Both of them would play in Megadeth throughout the '90s, and IMO this is their greatest lineup.

This IS the type of stuff that I smoke to. IJS. Hype or not, the melodies and rhythms pull you in. It's a treat for the brain. If your brain can take it. I recommend reaction to the entire Megadeth Catalogue. It goes deep. Start at the beginning. finish at the end. Enjoy the journey,

The lyrics are a must read for songs off this album. It came out so many years ago but considered one of the top metal albums ever

Soo yeah, rock/metal is about creating a journey through the soundscape of legendary guitar riffs , bass riffs, killer drums, vocals that captivate with whatever message or story is weaved in. Now it can sound simple or sound complicated with twists and turns using different time signatures and transitions to keep your heart on its toes. I like songs that you have no idea where it's gonna go until u hear it a few times. But, just take your time and do what you do, don't worry bout anyone else's negativity. Good riffwork-there are probably better examples but I mean like riffs that aren't easily worded into a single emotion, more of a blend of dark and energy.
