Thanks for the video. Just watched two different solo video's back to back and each of you had different ways of playing the game.Because I hate asymmetric games I judged this too quickly when it came out but you guys have taught me that I was wrong and now I'll try and find this game at my FLGS.
Nice playthrough, i really enjoyed it. One question though. I'm a little confused as to what the landing area is used for. Particularly because you never used it. You said it had something to do with income but you received income when you retrieved from the board anyway.
It’s more for if you’re using farms - when you retrieve your workers each one can get the income of a different farm in your hive (unless they hibernate). When your workers get bumped in that situation it’s delaying your big retrieval/income turns so you have the option of putting your bumped workers in the landing zone where they’re not available to place, but can get income from a farm when you next retrieve
The landing area is more attractive with more players, because your worker bee is more likely to be bumped back to you. In a two player game, you may play 3 turns before one of you worker bee gets bumped back.
Great run-through as always, Tom. Thanks for taking the time to film and share!
Gotta love the automa factory solo modes.
Such a fantastic game. Played only one four player but thoroughly enjoyed. It’s on my Christmas list.

Glad you enjoyed! Hope you like the game 🙂
Bought this game as soon as it came out. Love the automa. Thank you for the playthrough!
Thanks for taking the time to check out Apiary and share the playthrough!
Thanks Tom. Anxious to get this to the table now.
