    Diesel crack/either: down here in Texas it seems like once you start using it whatever you use it on gets addicted for life. Even when it's warm/hot out. Up where you are you're limited and seem to have no option but to use it. But we don't see any days even approaching low teens and below.... Already mowing grass and planting maters and such here.

      Yes using either is pretty much a thing up here on and off from November until April. Except the tractors that have glow plugs in them.We usually try and plug the block heaters so we don’t have to use either much.

    It's amazing how many people don't know about this tractor and it's crazy how it didn't become more popular. I know a few farmers who have the original versatile one and a couple with the very first new Holland ones which where just painted versatile models. Everyone I have talked to has said that they are definitely their favorite tractor. A 2014 TV6070 with dual PTOs and 3pts is hand down by dream tractor with a loader ofcoarse too. With my operation I am trying to start I could almost do everything I need to with one. I don't think I would even need another tractor actually! Accept I would have another one for a back up because a guy unfortunately just can't depend on one machine. I would love to have a 2014 then a older one for a back up them both with loaders would be awesome!

      We have a bi detectional and we don't like it it sucks way to much fuel and gives to low of horse power to the pto for what its horse power is

    Dude I work mowing the roads with one these tv145 . Bad ass machine .
    But it does throw you off backing up on them
    And it always looks like you driving it backwards .

    A guy I talked to who had a haybine head for his bi tractor said they are nice machines, but he said they are really good for a couple things and that's about it. I think you'd be better off with a regular loader tractor instead, or rather get a smaller payloader instead... something to think about for the future. I think with the new self-propelled machines the past 15 years having so much higher HP now is probably why the bidirectionals are not as popular anymore.

    • @organicpaulguy
      @organicpaulguy  4 года назад +1

      I still prefer our other loader over the bi-directional. Yes there are things I like about it but not enough things I like to justify buying it.

    Either is terrible for engines. It fires in the cylinder way too early and is expanding causing the cylinder pressure to be high,then the injector fires and the cylinder pressure gets way too high. Breaking rings,pistons,head gaskets,bending rods or wiping out bearings. Lots of times the damage doesn't show up until much later.

    What good is a front PTO when there's no 3-point to support it? Without that, it might as well not have a front PTO at all. Also, you'll find out rather quickly over the course of operating that thing that counter-weights are a must, and since there's no 3-point at the front, you can't do that either. Weighted wheels alone aren't enough, especially when they're on a swiveling front axle. That kind of "un-sprung" weight on the front axle is also gonna beat the hell out of your tie-rods to boot. That's why you don't see many non-articulated tractors that have weighted wheels at the front. It's really not worth the headache.

    • @jmdickie1
      @jmdickie1 4 года назад +1

      Drawbar pto combo comes to mind off hand ie. discbine, baler, generator. Should be a decent amount of counterweight at the front with the motor and front wheel weights and having the loader hanging off of the opposite axle puts the fulcrum directly over the rear axle.

    Hey Paul. Is the tractor that needs the new computer still under warranty? Hope so or else that is going to cost you a chunk of change. But not as bad as John Deere would nail you. Also, you referred to that loaner tractor as being articulated, but does that loaner tractor bend in middle? It doesn't look like it does to me, and I always thought that for a tractor to be articulated it had to bend in the middle. But as for me I prefer your old loader tractor over the loaner tractor. Good luck, Paul!

    • @organicpaulguy
      @organicpaulguy  4 года назад

      Hi Mark. I don’t for sure if it’s still under warranty yet. I kind of doubt but we’ll find out soon enough. Yes it articulates in the middle. There are things I like about it but there are things I don’t like about it either.

    Great video is the computer covered under warranty or you gotta pay? That reverse drive one looks a handy bit of kit 👍 maybe you could think about a loader on the other new holland it's always handy to have two loader tractors if one breaks or if you go off doing something your brother can still have one as well 👍 👍

    we run 3 of them and once you get use to them you cant beat them in the hayfield. the visibility and flexability is awesome. you will love it till you get a hyd hose rubbed through and you have to work on it. ive never seen such a piss poor design for hose routing.
