I just got my 1526 NT Tyndale bible. At first I could barely read it. With a few days practice I'm getting so much better. I love this book!

As a Spanish speaker, this is much easier to understand that modern English pronunciation.

When I was a wee boy I learned a tune from dads scottish records.
Just a wee doc and doris
just a wee doc that's aw
Just a wee doc and doris
    afore ye gang awa
    There's a wee wifey waitin
and a wee buck and ben If ye can say
It's a braw brict moon lict nict
    Then yere awright ye ken
Much othere such talk was around the house and we felt it comical.
What a great gift of linguistic knowledge we were given

I have an exact reprint of the original Tyndale Bible, some of whose texts should have a way but my brain must struggle to get them. So, it will just adorn my bookshelf.

Is this the version Peter Hitchens loves? There’s many versions. I want the one that’s famous for its use of the English language. Is this it or is it the 1611 one?
