You shouldn't expect someone you've been dating for like a week or maybe even a month to clean up your vomit, but if they're going to be in it for the long haul, if you're thinking about "for better or for worse, in sickness and in health", then *absolutely* hold your potential partners to that standard.

You’re not worth dealing with anymore so go talk about all the bad dates that you had but a lot of it is on you also.
The happiest I have been my entire life is now as an adult without anyone around. You’re convinced that you need someone and you’re supposed to be married, but that absolutely is not true and you should be able to stand on your own to include not having friends or pets. When you really have your self together, you don’t need anyone around and you need to get to that point before you ever go into a relationship.
