I know this is late, but I am a freshman attending an early college program from my school. Will physics, etc. classes taken at a local community college count towards the high school recommended classes? Would it be better, or worse, or the same? Thank you.
Regarding the first part, the majority of schools allow community college classes to count towards high school recommended classes/high school credit. As long as the classes meet high school requirements/give high school credit, it's pretty beneficial. College classes are generally harder and have heavier courseloads, which will help build your character/academics. However, it might be worse if the classes you're taking has a curriculum that differs too much from the high school classes. Also, taking cc classes could be a great ec (especially since you're a freshman) because it indicates you're a hard-worker and ability to handle challenges. (I'm a sophomore so I dont know much, definitely ask your counselors or go on college vine for more accurate info)
Is high school physics a requirement to be considered for admission to MIT? Although physics is offered at my school this upcoming semester, AP physics is not. I attend a small magnet school and have limited choices in class availability.
Hi! There are no courses required for admission into MIT. They do have recommendations (which you can see here: mitadmissions.org/apply/prepare/highschool/), but they recognize that not every high school will offer these courses. Since they will already know what your high school offers based on your guidance counselor's report, the best thing you can do is take the courses you're interested in as they relate to your major.
Hey idk if it's too late for me to be saying this, but MIT can see that you don't have AP physics as an option. If possible, try to get into a physics honors class. If you can't do that, just do a physics class
No, you can take SAT exams in some of the major cities in Italy (Aviano, Duino, Florence, Genoa, Gricignano D'Aversa, Lanciano, Milan) you just needed to pay an extra amount of $28.

You need to demonstrate academic maturity. Good rec letters are important and some endeavors that show you are academically serious. Volunteer in a research project and achieve some tangible results.
