"O Canada" and "The Star Spangeled Banner" performed at Wayne Gretzky's Last Game - April 18, 1999

This is mainly for the interest of those who watched the Wayne Gretzky BarDown and those in the Adler the Eagle Patreon Discord chat, but basically I uploaded this to say, THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
So, 20 years ago today, The Great One played his last game. And to commemorate it, the Canadian and American national anthems were altered to reference Wayne Gretzky leaving. And this went down...surprisingly well. Imagine if this happened now...
Oh yeah, and look out for a cameo by Superman himself, Christopher Reeve.

This is just one of the many examples that show how dominant and special he was to his sport. Forget the fact he would still have more points than any other NHL player in history if you took away all his goals. This wasnt or ever will be done for other legends like MJ, Lebron, Montana, Brady, Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr., Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, Roger Federer, or Serena Williams, no matter how dominant they were/are in their respective sports.

technically, it isn't, since that falls under the First Amendment, however, it is pretty frowned upon, like how Steven Tyler changed the lyrics of the Star Spangled Banner cause he messed up in the 2001 Indy 500. (And the land of.....The Indianapolis 500!)
