- Good Morning Everyone!
Blessed with another day to be alive. Praise God.
Today I decided to do my Second Oil change on my Yamaha YZF-R7.
The last oil change I didn't record at about 600 miles.
Now we are coming up on 2500! So it's about time I believe.
In this video I do my best to show a step-by-step process of how to change the oil beginning with the Tools required, removing the plastic covers, oil filter, and oil drain plug Screw/Bolt, etc!
Then after we are all set and done I take her for quick ride POV angle with my recently purchased GO-PRO Session mounted on the top of the helmet.
(Still getting adjusted to the angles)
Work with me friends.
Greatness takes time!
Hope you Enjoy!!
Please feel free to drop a comment below if there are better techniques and or ways to complete this maintenance task more efficiently, like the video and subscribe for more in the near future!
I'm still very new to all this, I'm no Expert!..YET. Ha!
Thanks for watching.
Best Regards,
-D

FYI, the drain bolt crush washer or gasket should have the beveled side facing the bolt and the flat side to the engine case. I had to look it up myself when I first got my R7, because I didnt know which way it went. Thanks for the video.
Great stuff! Just got my 24 R7 a few months ago. I’ll be doing the oil change soon.
@@ambermeows150 Congratulations! Ride safe out there. 🫡💯🙌

Hello.
What oil did you use...
Thank you
The oil I used is in the video. Please refer to the video again if you’d like.
Cheers. 🍻
@@Idonthavesocialmedialolwould have been easier to just type the oil name 😅 js, no disregard to you saying it in the vid.
Always tighten a oil filter by hand never use a tool to tighten it just to loosen it when the last person who put it on didnt know what they were doing!
Interesting. Thanks for commenting. Although not everybody can ensure a nice firm fit with just their hands. So snugging it with a tool is always a good pre-caution. Don’t want that thing falling off when riding.
Cheers. 🍻
Please take of watch and bracelet when doing stuff like this, you'll just ruin it and make your job harder..
I wear them so often I forget I even have them on. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll have to remember that for next time. Cheers. 🙌😇
Yo I hit you on ig
@@stewietk I haven’t been on any social medias for a long time my friend. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
