    1997-98 season: 1. Utah Jazz 62-20
    2. Seattle Sonics 61 -19
    3. La Lakers 61 - 19
    4. SA Spurs 56 - 26
    5. Phx Suns 56 -26
    This is the competition the Jazz had in the 1998 playoffs before meeting the Bulls in the Finals. When is the last time you seen a conference where three teams won over 60 games? ...How quickly we forget

    Jordan played his greatest opponents in the same conference, vs playing weaker opponents in the Finals. Lebron has had much greater competition in the Finals.

      No one was saying "oh the east is good" everyone was saying "oh the cavs look weak". Put them in he west with how they played with a western schedule they might not of made it to the playoffs. But again they're in the east didn't try at all in he ref season showing how bad the east really is

      Didn't you watch game 1 of the WCF? You probably didn't because you only check the boxscore every single time and make that your argument. Spurs were most definitely about to win that game 1 until Kawhi went down! They were up by 20 in the middle of the 3rd. Come on now.
      As far as I am concerned, a healthy Spurs vs healthy Warriors is the NBA finals matchup for me, two teams with the best RS record.

    • @jdrobin1
      @jdrobin1 7 лет назад

      Aaron Koh Nah, I have NBA League Pass with all the teams and playoffs included. I don't watch highlights like majority of people. I've watched every team this season at least 45 times. We don't know what would've happened during that series. Just because the spurs were up during that game doesn't mean they would've defeated the Warriors. The Warriors and Spurs are way better than every team in the West. I consider the Rockets a mid level team. I wasn't hyped on them like everyone else was.

    • @jdrobin1
      @jdrobin1 7 лет назад +1

      Johnny On the Spot The Rockets would've got drug by the Cavs and maybe wouldn't beat the Celtics because they actually split the season series.

    • @Andrew2296
      @Andrew2296 7 лет назад

      You and everyone who has said this is the reason Alexander Hamilton believed not everyone should vote. You can't even understand that the reason ppl were saying the cavs might not make it or it'll be tough is because the way the cavs looked, no one was saying how good the east looked they were only talking about the cavs not looking good. Lbj is showing how weak the east really is and has shown that with his 3-4 record in the finals. If he was truly that great he would win at least 5 of those rings, but he didn't because he ran through the weak east and matched up with the superior west teams. 2011 multiple teams in the westcould've beat that Miami team too which is embarrassing to think about if you're lbj

    Sounds stupid

      matt williams Thank you someone finally gets it. I hate this arguement because they basically want to put him on the lottery teams in the West or they just want to pluck Cleveland out of the East. Then they use his finals record to justify it like a whole different team and system wouldn't affect that.

    • @beautyisgoodllc

      Lawrence McDonald - You don't remember Lebron dominating against the GS the past 2 Finals?!? WTF?!? You need to check the stats. He dominated so much against GS 2 years ago, he took a fully healthy GS to game 6 w/o Kyrie and Love (Dellavedova was his #2 in the series). The man finished 2nd in FMVP voting even though his team lost in 6 gms. Last year, Lebron became the first player in NBA history to lead both teams in Points, Rebounds, Assist, Steals and Blocks. Lebron dominated against the Spurs in the 2013 and 2014 Finals, even though his "team" didn't show up in 2014. He was in the FMVP discussion, even though his team got crushed in 5 games. He dominated against OKC in the 2012 Finals. His first 2 Finals appearances (2007 & 2011) are the only times he wasn't the best player in the series. Educate yourself before spewing idiocy.

    Why NBA stars running from the East if it's such a easy road, Superstar free agents from teams in the West don't bother joining a Eastern team because they know they'll never get past a LeBron led team in the playoffs.

    Just for a comparison, by winning percentage for both conferences every year, here are the dominant conferences in Jordan's career vs James's career:
    Jordan - 9 seasons (West), 6 seasons (East)
    James - 13 seasons (West), 1 season (East)
    Going by this, Jordan definitely had tougher competition on his way to the finals...
    Of the 6 seasons Jordan got to the finals, 5 of them had a tougher Eastern Conference.
    Of the 8 seasons James got to the finals (assuming he will be in the finals this year), all of them were dominated by the Western Conference.

    I love KD and Steph, but they've faced injured teams. Portland was without Nurkic, they're a completely different team with him on the court and Blazers C's were all injured.
    Jazz- George Hill. Offense can't run smoothly without PG.
    Spurs- Kawhi and TP. no explanation needed.

    I honestly think its a lose/lose situation for the Lebron lead Cavs. If they had a tough 6 or 7 game series with the Raptors and Pacers people would've said they should've swept them or won in 5. Now that they're sweeping good teams, people are claiming it's just a cake walk. I honestly don't think that's fair at all. Let this man be great.

    It's just that the Cavaliers have way more talent than anyone else in the East. They should be dominating. In a vacuum, Teams like Toronto and Boston aren't terrible but they aren't elite nor close to being on Cavalier's level.

    Can someone tell me what Jordan was the best at? He wasn't the quickest, strongest, fastest, or smartest player ever. He wasn't the best shooter in any regard. He wasn't the best post player, didn't have the best footwork. Wasn't the best scorer, wasn't the best winner, wasn't the best defender. Wasn't the best rebounder, wasn't the best dribbler, wasn't the best at stealing the ball, wasn't the best shot blocker, wasn't the most competative since it's impossible to quantify competativeness. Wasnt the best passer or teammate. What was Jordan the best at besides selling shoes? Lol.

    The East is trash the media tries to hype it up & hype us & up & some of us become victims of believing teams led by isaiah thomas, kyle lowry & john wall can actually beat lebron, lebron is the most unstoppable biggest SF ever & he cant get to the rim on mismatches with small guards or big men then he can simple kick out to a shooter like Kyrie, Love, Frye, Korver, Shumpert, RJ, Jr smith, Dwill, he literally builds his teams & half his roster are players he told the gm to either trade for or sign, IMAGINE if kobe or Jordan handpicked their teams & were able to have depth like lebron has JUST imagine
