Basing that on the UI buttons flickering between keyboard and controller icons while you were navigating with the keyboard and the keyboard not working while the controller was plugged in. A PC restart will probably fix it, but cleaning out the buttons wouldn't hurt either

I actually think Hitman is my favorite gaming stream of Fauna's. She tries to be an elite assassin but ends up with so many "oh nooooooo~~~" moments. There's never a dull moment with her and Hitman. I hope she plays it even more!

Fauna, you might not like this but you really did better with keyboard and mouse. The process of conversion has started and you can't fight back So happy we get more Hitman streams and I thank you for this one as well!
Great stream, Fauna! Well done on being able to switch to keyboard and mouse. Personally, I found that using an MMO mouse (the ones with 12+ programmable side buttons) makes keyboard and mouse better than all other options for every game. It feels SO good playing a game with tons of options/actions and having them all bound to the side buttons on the mouse. That way your left hand can stay on WASD with the option of using comfortable buttons around that, but your right thumb can easily control 12+ specific actions in the game like healing, crouching, weapon changing, etc. It honestly revolutionized PC gaming for me. A massive side-bonus to that mouse type is that you can have separate profiles for general PC use like opening/closing windows, refreshing pages, hotkeys for taking you to specific websites, going up and down pages specific distances with a single button press, etc. The QoL of an MMO mouse is insane, I highly recommend trying one out. There are even brands that make their mouse size/weight customizable for people with smaller hands, too. It's something that, until you try it out and see how insane it is, like using high quality headphones or multiple monitors, it may not seem all that necessary. However once you experience it and customize it to your liking, which is easy to do, you'll never be able to use a standard mouse again. As a closing bit to really drive the point home: Art. Program. Shortcuts. Need I say more?

Tiny bit of info I can pass on: in Sapienza there's an apartment near the service entrance to the mansion. On the second floor there's an apartment building rented to 47 which I believe always has a sniper rifle inside and on the top floor you can knock on the door to get inside and take the outfit of the guy who is supposed to report for his shift and keycard to the mansion service entrance. Honestly super tempted to start playing this a bunch myself but my plate is so full of other stuff as is...

I can tell you love Hitman when you had to learn an entire new control scheme just to carry on with Agent Fauna7's campaign. It's always a blast, please feel free to play as much as you like

I never considered Hitman before but thanks to your streams I'm putting it on my evergrowing backlog now. As for the controller/keyboard debate, it honestly depends on the game but in the end it's all about what you're comfortable with regardless of what anybody says. Hopefully controller-kun is repairable too.

Hitman is one of my favorite games so it makes me so happy that you enjoy playing it as someone with probably almost 2000 hours across Hitman 2016, Hitman 2 and 3, I was a bit skeptical to watch these streams but they are always such a blast! Also don't feel bad about how hard the Freelancer mode is, I didn't clear my first campaign until I was close to Mastery 40!

Impressive stream, Fauna7. Your next objective should be to pet the target, however we don't know the exact description. Nevertheless, we do know this. They have black fur. They purrs. They love to sit on a lap. We have further intel that informs us that the target loves their owner so much. And their owner is supposed to be a kirin. I hope these tells can be used to your advantage. (and an optional objective to keep using the keyboard meta. ) Godspeed, Fauna7.
Just started the VOD. I get to be a gun science nerd for a second! You can absolutely have a "silenced" sniper rifle. All you really need is a threaded barrel and a suppressor big enough for said barrel. The thing is, a suppressor by itself does virtually nothing to make a gunshot silent. It silences the combustion of the gunpowder in the chamber, more or less silencing the bullet at point of firing. The problem is that standard bullets are supersonic, meaning faster than the speed of sound. And when something is breaking the sound barrier, it is LOUD (the sound is literally called a "sonic boom"). It's a very loud cracking sound, almost like having a thunderclap localized maybe a foot in front of you and then rocketing outwards. So anyone would hear that anyway. The way to achieve a "silenced" sniper rifle would be to pair a suppressor with subsonic ammunition (meaning slower than the speed of sound). With the right suppressor, you'd have a rifle that almost sounds like a wood block being tapped, or someone clicking their tongue. As you might be able to guess, though, subsonic ammunition has a SIGNIFICANTLY shorter range. You'd have to aim REALLY high and essentially lob a bullet at your target for a shot at hitting it. So to answer your question at the top of your stream: yes you CAN have a silenced sniper rifle, but silencing it defeats the purpose of having a sniper rifle so there's really no point in it at all.

As for the controller/keyboard debate, it honestly depends on the game but in the end it's all about what you're comfortable with regardless of what anybody says. Hopefully controller-kun is repairable too.

Hitman is one of my favorite games so it makes me so happy that you enjoy playing it as someone with probably almost 2000 hours across Hitman 2016, Hitman 2 and 3, I was a bit skeptical to watch these streams but they are always such a blast!
Also don't feel bad about how hard the Freelancer mode is, I didn't clear my first campaign until I was close to Mastery 40!

Just started the VOD. I get to be a gun science nerd for a second!
You can absolutely have a "silenced" sniper rifle. All you really need is a threaded barrel and a suppressor big enough for said barrel. The thing is, a suppressor by itself does virtually nothing to make a gunshot silent. It silences the combustion of the gunpowder in the chamber, more or less silencing the bullet at point of firing. The problem is that standard bullets are supersonic, meaning faster than the speed of sound. And when something is breaking the sound barrier, it is LOUD (the sound is literally called a "sonic boom"). It's a very loud cracking sound, almost like having a thunderclap localized maybe a foot in front of you and then rocketing outwards. So anyone would hear that anyway.
The way to achieve a "silenced" sniper rifle would be to pair a suppressor with subsonic ammunition (meaning slower than the speed of sound). With the right suppressor, you'd have a rifle that almost sounds like a wood block being tapped, or someone clicking their tongue. As you might be able to guess, though, subsonic ammunition has a SIGNIFICANTLY shorter range. You'd have to aim REALLY high and essentially lob a bullet at your target for a shot at hitting it.
So to answer your question at the top of your stream: yes you CAN have a silenced sniper rifle, but silencing it defeats the purpose of having a sniper rifle so there's really no point in it at all.
