I think if you try audio compression you might have to start out a stream with it on because it seems like some saplings listened to 3 hours of noncompressed and got acclimated to it. As far as audio feedback goes, I don’t know much about audio but there were points I could tell it sounded different, particularly during the game, a bit more on the quiet side. Nice stream! A few tips that helped me obtained the bloody suit a while back: -Try to have at least an epic weapon of each categories, a legendary pistol (for legendary headshot), a silenced sniper rifle with piercing (for collateral firearm), a shuriken, an icepick and the tanto. Bonus with the collector emetic dartgun to single out target. -In hardcore try to choose map for the showdown that are wide, open, and with spread out point of interest. As the number of lookouts and suspects increases a lot (up to 15), you don't want to be in a clamped area. Good maps for this are Sapienza (Personal choice), Santa Fortuna, Mendoza, Ambrose Island... -Try to be mindful of which map has a safe, and which map has easy non-prestige objectives, so when you end up having to choose perfect run or safe opening, you are not checkmate. -And lastly, with the Freelancer tools at the start of the mission, try to always have a few explosives and poison available so you can accomplish objectives for perfect run. -Bonus: try to know a few spots where you can find propane for collateral accidents. Hardcore requires to plan not mission by mission but on the span of a whole campaign. I faith in you agent Fauna7 , Bon voyage

Another great stream from this gaming Kirin! I work with audio for my job and I thought the audio sounded better with the compressor in my opinion! Another thing you can try if you’re down to mess with the EQ is doing a kind of wide cut at 500 hz, that usually helps with getting that “studio sound.” I’d say don’t be afraid to experiment. Looking forward to the potential official bald Fauna.

It's satisfying seeing you crank up the graphics on all your games. Dartmoor has to be my favorite map. The desaturated colors and the spanning landscape looks incredible in RTX Outer Wilds would really be a great choice after SA2. With your new PC, the immersion will be off the charts. Actually breathtaking experience I don't have much to add about the audio. It seems to sound the same to me, and if you've exported the OBS and goXLR settings then I'd imagine they're the same. Only other thing I could think of is another group of settings like the microphone audio format in windows. One thing I did notice was some bitcrushing. It was only present in the very beginning while you were outside your house. RUclips bitrate probably can't handle the lakeside RTX If you haven't maxed out your bitrate on this PC, here's a reminder

As a side note... the font is a lot harder to read today. From what I know, it's because you're playing in 1440p and it's scaling down imprecisely. You might be able to add a high-quality scaler like ewa_lanczos to OBS to get rid of the blocky fonts and moire effects (and test your PC even more!). Or you could play in 1080p Your audio, however, I think is fine! Don't worry about it~

While audio maybe a subjective preference, one thing to point out is that as long as your voice is clear and not being disrupted by background music . You can try to mix around and find out what works best for you and we’ll follow with you we might even like the new sound preferences more
Audio stuff is difficult to fine tune. I had you up on the big TV today while I was working around the house and early on there were a few moments where your voice reminded me of debut Fauna. But I didn’t really notice it later in the stream. My ears maybe just got used to the voice or maybe it changed it’s hard to say! I’m sure you’ll get it just right though
Thanks for stream! About your setup, a limiter might help with some peaking I heard from your “Awawa” test. While a light compressor could also help, dynamic mic + compressor can make you sound not only dull, but significantly base-boosted. What I recommend you to play around might be equalizer (EQ) or mic setting itself. SM7B has three modes I believe. I am guessing you are using the neutral mode, there’s also a base roll-off mode. For your voice profile, base roll-off would do more good than harm, and could help kill excessive base if using a compressor. There’s also a presence boost mode, essentially a 2000-5000Hz booster, which increases sibilance but also makes your voice… cuter? Lighter/airy? Good luck, consult your peers too!

Hitman is back, as chaotic and entertaining as I remember it! I can't believe you made it out of New York alive, great job Fauna! Personally, I think you should have compressor on since that sounds the most pleasant to me. (And most like how you sounded before the new PC.) However, if you can adjust it maybe try fiddling with it a bit if the "max" setting is too much. I would also suggest testing with another Holomem to see what they think sounds good. I'm sure they would not mind helping you out with this.

Regarding the audio - I think we are pretty close? Are you maybe sitting further away maybe as you likely have larger monitors? Them being larger may actually be reflecting your voice more intently and making the audio sound different - even with it being a dynamic mic. My internet was being slow so I was stuck watching this maximum detail RTX ON Fauna stream in 360p though. The duality of Agent Fauna 7 hiding in a closet throwing apples at people in one mission and another sneaking in to pass a job interview only to walk right into a laser will always make these streams highly entertaining and unpredictable.

And honestly, I think the slightly greater, dynamic range of your voice volume without the compressor is more interesting. Your audio back then was less compressed, so your s's and t's were much harder, and your voice was consistently louder even when you were speaking softly before the change to the new PC. In my opinion, this sounds better, but if it does feel off, you should get it set up to be as it was before (Thanks for the stream btw, Hitman and Fauna tangents our beloved )

Hi Fauna. I was curious about why would you felt like your voice might sound weird, so I ran a bit of test(I meant listening) 1. If you listen at 2:37 "It sounds fine?" the word "fine" is mixed with 'clicking' sound. same thing at 3:00 and few more places. I don't think it is microphone or any part of the audio hardware but could be something obs, internet or YT doing. have no idea how to fix, but not a big deal I believe. 2. can hear a bit of room reflection, not too often and very quite so no worries about it. new set up and monitors in different places? idk, but even dynamic mic like sm7b can pick those up depend on room setting, it's normal and it just happens. 3. I heard some digital clipping - but your microphone gain sounds fine, so maybe turn down your volume(for voice) on obs little bit(to prevent it hitting 0db and beyond), or put on compressor for your voice on obs, 3:0 ratio, tweek threshold around -10db and see how that sounds like. (if you want to step into different level of game, nice preamp, nice hardware compressor and okay interface would make things better, but only marginally.) 4. gate and de-ess working just fine seems like. if there is any option for de-ess, I would set the frequency little higher like to 8khz ish and see how that works. tldr; I'm nitpicking here little too much, but your voice sounds just nice as always! don't worry too much
Thanks for flexing you new PC in hitman Fauna, it looks really beatifull, aside from the RUclips compression. Hope your motion sickness is a passing thing so you can enjoy other games too. A small tip that is probably unrelated to that is that if your monitor is capable more than 60hz, you have to manually set higher one in windows settings or Nvidia control panel. You would be surprised how many forgot to do that. For the audio, I can hear small difference but can really tell what it could be. One of my favorite parts of the stream is the zatsu after the gaming is done As for the audio, maybe it's just my headphones but I could only notice a real difference once you started playing around with the compressor but I'd say it sounded good without it on.

You can see the pillars of creation through a hobbyist telescope. It looks mostly greyscale through an eyepiece because our eyes are more sensitive to brightness at those dim amounts of light than to color, but in "reality" our brains would see it as a deep red. The Eagle Nebula is an emission nebula of mostly hydrogen gas, so the H-alpha and H-beta emission lines are of interest to astronomers. Some other emission lines of interest are SII and OIII since their ratios with H-alpha and H-beta are used to determine how "metallic" certain regions are (for the astronomy definition of "metal," not the chemistry one). Unfortunately for our vision, H-alpha and SII are both deep red where H-beta is teal-ish blue and OIII is blue-ish teal so if we just assigned everything to its "natural" color we'd get very low contrast images. So, how do we get a good looking picture out of that data? At this point it's important to note that the camera sensors we use are black-and-white. We make them "color" sensors by putting a special filter array in front of them called a Bayer array (there are other kinds too). For astronomy, though, we don't need (or want) those filters! We get to use really narrow filters that pick out very specific colors to observe since we don't care about copying what the human eye sees anymore. Lo and behold, the filters we choose align with the emission lines we're interested in! The "Hubble palette" or "SHO mapping" is what's referred to when we assign images taken through 3 of those filters to the 3 main colors we see: SII to red, H-alpha to green, and OIII to blue. Then we tinker with the contrast and color balance to make the structures appear more clearly in the image and not have it be overly green since there's so much H-alpha signal. There are plenty of other color palettes used in astronomy to make images pretty or easier to study. Funnily enough the Hubble Space Telescope's pillars of creation photo was the image where the Hubble palette came from in the first place. I'm glad you ask good questions about this stuff!
Hey Fauna! Good stream, even if it wasn't 12 hrs endurance. A recommendation from a hit man nerd, you should buy the low tier weapons from the shop to remove them from the loot pool. Both the black market and end of campaign rewards will always have a unique item, but the reward is free. Therefore, you should buy up the cheaper low quality weapons so that when you complete a campaign you are more likely to get a better, more expensive weapon for free, since the average quality of available items is higher

I think if you try audio compression you might have to start out a stream with it on because
it seems like some saplings listened to 3 hours of noncompressed and got acclimated to it.

Love the tangents you get on as always, especially at the end there. As far as audio feedback goes, I don’t know much about audio but there were points I could tell it sounded different, particularly during the game, a bit more on the quiet side.

A few tips that helped me obtained the bloody suit a while back:
-Try to have at least an epic weapon of each categories, a legendary pistol (for legendary headshot), a silenced sniper rifle with piercing (for collateral firearm), a shuriken, an icepick and the tanto. Bonus with the collector emetic dartgun to single out target.
-In hardcore try to choose map for the showdown that are wide, open, and with spread out point of interest. As the number of lookouts and suspects increases a lot (up to 15), you don't want to be in a clamped area. Good maps for this are Sapienza (Personal choice), Santa Fortuna, Mendoza, Ambrose Island...
-Try to be mindful of which map has a safe, and which map has easy non-prestige objectives, so when you end up having to choose perfect run or safe opening, you are not checkmate.
-And lastly, with the Freelancer tools at the start of the mission, try to always have a few explosives and poison available so you can accomplish objectives for perfect run.
-Bonus: try to know a few spots where you can find propane for collateral accidents.
Hardcore requires to plan not mission by mission but on the span of a whole campaign.

Another great stream from this gaming Kirin! I work with audio for my job and I thought the audio sounded better with the compressor in my opinion! Another thing you can try if you’re down to mess with the EQ is doing a kind of wide cut at 500 hz, that usually helps with getting that “studio sound.” I’d say don’t be afraid to experiment. Looking forward to the potential official bald Fauna.

Get caught tresspassing and just bumrush a guy into a secret entrance without triggering the guards? Try to rob a vault, trip the alarms and till get out? Yep that's Agent Fauna7.
It's satisfying seeing you crank up the graphics on all your games. Dartmoor has to be my favorite map. The desaturated colors and the spanning landscape looks incredible in RTX Outer Wilds would really be a great choice after SA2. With your new PC, the immersion will be off the charts. Actually breathtaking experience
I don't have much to add about the audio. It seems to sound the same to me, and if you've exported the OBS and goXLR settings then I'd imagine they're the same. Only other thing I could think of is another group of settings like the microphone audio format in windows. One thing I did notice was some bitcrushing. It was only present in the very beginning while you were outside your house. RUclips bitrate probably can't handle the lakeside RTX If you haven't maxed out your bitrate on this PC, here's a reminder

As a side note... the font is a lot harder to read today. From what I know, it's because you're playing in 1440p and it's scaling down imprecisely. You might be able to add a high-quality scaler like ewa_lanczos to OBS to get rid of the blocky fonts and moire effects (and test your PC even more!). Or you could play in 1080p
Your audio, however, I think is fine! Don't worry about it~

While audio maybe a subjective preference, one thing to point out is that as long as your voice is clear and not being disrupted by background music . You can try to mix around and find out what works best for you and we’ll follow with you we might even like the new sound preferences more
Audio stuff is difficult to fine tune. I had you up on the big TV today while I was working around the house and early on there were a few moments where your voice reminded me of debut Fauna. But I didn’t really notice it later in the stream. My ears maybe just got used to the voice or maybe it changed it’s hard to say! I’m sure you’ll get it just right though

About your setup, a limiter might help with some peaking I heard from your “Awawa” test. While a light compressor could also help, dynamic mic + compressor can make you sound not only dull, but significantly base-boosted. What I recommend you to play around might be equalizer (EQ) or mic setting itself.
SM7B has three modes I believe. I am guessing you are using the neutral mode, there’s also a base roll-off mode. For your voice profile, base roll-off would do more good than harm, and could help kill excessive base if using a compressor. There’s also a presence boost mode, essentially a 2000-5000Hz booster, which increases sibilance but also makes your voice… cuter? Lighter/airy?

Personally, I think you should have compressor on since that sounds the most pleasant to me. (And most like how you sounded before the new PC.) However, if you can adjust it maybe try fiddling with it a bit if the "max" setting is too much.
I would also suggest testing with another Holomem to see what they think sounds good. I'm sure they would not mind helping you out with this.
They can trace all these rays, but they can’t trace these kills back to Agent Fauna 7!

Regarding the audio - I think we are pretty close? Are you maybe sitting further away maybe as you likely have larger monitors? Them being larger may actually be reflecting your voice more intently and making the audio sound different - even with it being a dynamic mic.
My internet was being slow so I was stuck watching this maximum detail RTX ON Fauna stream in 360p though.
The duality of Agent Fauna 7 hiding in a closet throwing apples at people in one mission and another sneaking in to pass a job interview only to walk right into a laser will always make these streams highly entertaining and unpredictable.

And honestly, I think the slightly greater, dynamic range of your voice volume without the compressor is more interesting. It still sounds like it's compressed by something, but I can at least hear a small difference between quiet speaking and yelling. 🙂

Your audio back then was less compressed, so your s's and t's were much harder, and your voice was consistently louder even when you were speaking softly before the change to the new PC. In my opinion, this sounds better, but if it does feel off, you should get it set up to be as it was before

Hi Fauna. I was curious about why would you felt like your voice might sound weird, so I ran a bit of test(I meant listening)
1. If you listen at 2:37 "It sounds fine?" the word "fine" is mixed with 'clicking' sound. same thing at 3:00 and few more places. I don't think it is microphone or any part of the audio hardware but could be something obs, internet or YT doing. have no idea how to fix, but not a big deal I believe.
2. can hear a bit of room reflection, not too often and very quite so no worries about it. new set up and monitors in different places? idk, but even dynamic mic like sm7b can pick those up depend on room setting, it's normal and it just happens.
3. I heard some digital clipping - but your microphone gain sounds fine, so maybe turn down your volume(for voice) on obs little bit(to prevent it hitting 0db and beyond), or put on compressor for your voice on obs, 3:0 ratio, tweek threshold around -10db and see how that sounds like. (if you want to step into different level of game, nice preamp, nice hardware compressor and okay interface would make things better, but only marginally.)
4. gate and de-ess working just fine seems like. if there is any option for de-ess, I would set the frequency little higher like to 8khz ish and see how that works.
tldr; I'm nitpicking here little too much, but your voice sounds just nice as always! don't worry too much
Thanks for flexing you new PC in hitman Fauna, it looks really beatifull, aside from the RUclips compression. Hope your motion sickness is a passing thing so you can enjoy other games too. A small tip that is probably unrelated to that is that if your monitor is capable more than 60hz, you have to manually set higher one in windows settings or Nvidia control panel. You would be surprised how many forgot to do that.
For the audio, I can hear small difference but can really tell what it could be. If it helps the audio sounds little bit like when you did your 3d birthday stream. Thanks for the stream and see you next time 💚.

One of my favorite parts of the stream is the zatsu after the gaming is done As for the audio, maybe it's just my headphones but I could only notice a real difference once you started playing around with the compressor but I'd say it sounded good without it on.

You can see the pillars of creation through a hobbyist telescope. Some other emission lines of interest are SII and OIII since their ratios with H-alpha and H-beta are used to determine how "metallic" certain regions are (for the astronomy definition of "metal," not the chemistry one). Unfortunately for our vision, H-alpha and SII are both deep red where H-beta is teal-ish blue and OIII is blue-ish teal so if we just assigned everything to its "natural" color we'd get very low contrast images. So, how do we get a good looking picture out of that data?
At this point it's important to note that the camera sensors we use are black-and-white. We make them "color" sensors by putting a special filter array in front of them called a Bayer array (there are other kinds too). For astronomy, though, we don't need (or want) those filters! We get to use really narrow filters that pick out very specific colors to observe since we don't care about copying what the human eye sees anymore. Lo and behold, the filters we choose align with the emission lines we're interested in! The "Hubble palette" or "SHO mapping" is what's referred to when we assign images taken through 3 of those filters to the 3 main colors we see: SII to red, H-alpha to green, and OIII to blue. Then we tinker with the contrast and color balance to make the structures appear more clearly in the image and not have it be overly green since there's so much H-alpha signal. There are plenty of other color palettes used in astronomy to make images pretty or easier to study.
Funnily enough the Hubble Space Telescope's pillars of creation photo was the image where the Hubble palette came from in the first place. I'm glad you ask good questions about this stuff!

Both the black market and end of campaign rewards will always have a unique item, but the reward is free. Therefore, you should buy up the cheaper low quality weapons so that when you complete a campaign you are more likely to get a better, more expensive weapon for free, since the average quality of available items is higher
