shockingly in this instance, miata was NOT the second answer, and was ousted by the most ridiculous little shoebox. and i only bring that up because i am a die hard fan of VW. but yeah, better bang together an old miata, it'll just kinda go and go
This has to be ours :) Our first 3 races went quite well. We finished 16th overall last year at the full 24h in colorado, and even won the regional award for Hella Sweet 16. We've been less lucky this year, we got rod knock 2h in the June race, and blew our new junkyard engine again this past weekend at the High Plains Drifter. Super fun car though.
The Scuderia Limoni guys raced on both coasts with a Milano, won a race on the East Coast with it. It fell apart after 30something races. I think they won a Heroic Fix for stitch-welding the chassis to get another race or two out of it, but they put it out of its misery and switched to a Spider.
@@ericrood510Close. We retired it when we were punted off the the end of the straight at Sonoma, and that was race #42. I never added up total miles, but we did have 25k racing miles on one engine that had 150k miles on it when we dropped it in. IIRC, when it met it’s demise we were tied with Eyesore for most races, although we weren’t remotely close to them in terms of finishing position.
Oh, I got an idea for a Volvo or Saab lemons theme. Dress like vikings and cover the car with lines from "The Vikings at Helgeland" (Ibsen) written in Futhark.
Desperately trying to pretend to be Edgy And Y’all Hate any racer that isn’t You for no reason Huh, yeah, that sound’s about right for amateur track racing Everybody must lose
Some of these may be the Lemon of Theseus, at least under the hood.
Top six models seen in lemons. I'm sure Miata will be on the top. Miata is always the answer.

Nelsons Ledges where you can go to some kind of festival at the Quarry Park too!
At once the pride and shame of NE Ohio. Hosting a Lemons race might have been one of the more dignified moments in its history.
7:52 yes folks, that's Dave Coleman, the man that put the zoom zoom in your Mazda! Go eyesore racing! Go Dave!
"If you don't subscribe, then we will give this klassic Ford Pinto to a Lemons team like "Sorry for Party"."
Reading Dave Coleman's articles in sport compact car magazine was the best. I love his writing style.
Were any on the way up the count before they got fan crushed before that was removed from Lemons?
We've raced against half that list a time or two. ;)
What kind of monster would weld an NA and an NB together?… *Checks notes* Dave Coleman is on the team, got it
Hey how many Hyundai Genesis Coupes have you guys seen? Thinking about running one.
There has only been one and it actually did pretty damn good
This has to be ours :)

I just bought a "ran when parked" 3.8. Would love to find out what not to do if you're up for that. You on the lemons forum?@@TheRacingBaguettes
@@DivadNoodeldehm-lz2gm yes, look up "Pierre" over there!
No way! I named my Rustang Pierre too! I'll hit you up on the forums then. @@TheRacingBaguettes
56 races ... $1675 per race to enter =$93,800 not bad
First rule of racing accounting: Never, ever add it all up!
7:57 Okay
Now this is Aero
Pikachubaru sighting at 8:17, might be its first race.
Vega CRUSH, Vega CRUSH !!!!!!!!!
Wait, what?!?!?!?!? There are still vegas that haven't rusted away to dust yet? OMG!
I remember Phil wrote an article along these lines ages ago and there was an Alfa that had like 80k race miles on it...?
