I am nobody but I had many spiritual encounters . I am just a simple western educated professional. One encounter was that I was in Shirdi paying my obeyance to Shirdi baba....I was invited to om gurudev ashram...when I was in the compound of om guru dev babaji ashram in kopergaun ...a beggar suddenly appeared and said I just came from pasuphatinath and kedarnath and now I am here and on my way to see Krishna and annamalai...I just took some money and gave him for his journey....he never asked me any money but I just wanted to give him....after he went out of the compound grounds and out of the gate....I just followed him and to see which direction he went ...but strangely as I looked out of the entrance gate ...he just disappeared ...I was shocked and the deciples of babaji said that was actually dattatreya . That's how he looks like as a beggar....before that I never knew who is dattatreya...that's how dattatreya works....

Shripad Vallabh is first avatar of Guru Dattatreya. Narasimha Sarawati is second avatar and Swami Samarth is the 3rd avatar. Guru Dattatreya is guru of Dasani sampraday who carry a danda. The story of his birth is interesting where Brahma Vishnu and Mahesh decided to test mata Anusaya upon Narad muni's suggestion. Somdev , the moon and Rishi durvasa are his brothers. He meditated on Girnar parvat in Gujrat for 120000 years. Even today it is said that there are more yogis meditating on Girnar than in Himalayas.
There are total 15 Avatars of Datta Guru. Shripad Shri Vallabh is the very 1st Avatar as per the Guru Charitra Sampraday, 2nd as Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj, and then 3 Avataras of Guru Datt came in the same course of time. 1st is Akkalkot Swami Samarth Maharaj, 2nd Shegaon Che Gajanan Maharaj, and 3rd one was Parampujya Parivrajakacharya Shri Vausdevanand Saraswati Swami Maharaj. My great grand Father from Father’s side Shri Balkrishna Bhau Joshi has written a text as per the instructions from his Guru Dattatreya. That book is called ‘Datta Bhargav Samvad’. This book reveals the secrets of the Tripura Rahaysya. More lucky and imbibed in Lord Dattatreya tradition, i feel, is because from my Maternal side, Shri Pant Maharaj Balekundri, who is the incarnation of lord Dattatreya, was the Uncle of my mom’s father, becoming again my Great Grand Father.

Shripad Vallabh is first avatar of Guru Dattatreya. Narasimha Sarawati is second avatar and Swami Samarth is the 3rd avatar. Guru Dattatreya is guru of Dasani sampraday who carry a danda.
The story of his birth is interesting where Brahma Vishnu and Mahesh decided to test mata Anusaya upon Narad muni's suggestion. Somdev , the moon and Rishi durvasa are his brothers.
He meditated on Girnar parvat in Gujrat for 120000 years.
Even today it is said that there are more yogis meditating on Girnar than in Himalayas.
There are total 15 Avatars of Datta Guru. Shripad Shri Vallabh is the very 1st Avatar as per the Guru Charitra Sampraday, 2nd as Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj, and then 3 Avataras of Guru Datt came in the same course of time. 1st is Akkalkot Swami Samarth Maharaj, 2nd Shegaon Che Gajanan Maharaj, and 3rd one was Parampujya Parivrajakacharya Shri Vausdevanand Saraswati Swami Maharaj. All these 3 were actually 10th, 11th and 12th Avatara appeared at the same time
