Near Trichy, there is Samayapuram Mariamman temple which holds the same story. The body is of Renuka and head is of another woman. That's what Samayapuram Mariamman is also.

No..the story mentioned by him is very prevelent here in Maharastra where Renuka devi is worshipped as one pf the forms of Adishakti!
