Tom, I can't thank you enough for bringing these classic surf tunes back to life! I cut my guitar teeth on the Ventures, Shadows and other instrumental bands. I'm in my mid 70's now. I still pluck away whenever I can. When I can't, I tune into your channel and vicariously relive my younger years. I really don't know how I can adequately thank you for what you do!

Very cool! Mr. Soest used to fix my guitars, but I first caught the Torquays around the OC many years ago. This tune is like a little pocket symphony- movements and reprise. Again- very cool!

Hard to believe The Torquays were not a successful Surf band from the early ‘60s. Wicked authentic tune, well played. Tom, you are the modern day Surf King!

Fantastic Tom! The Torquays needs more recognition. In my opinion they are definitely one of the best surf bands of all time.
When I don’t know what to practice, I play the rhythm parts as if I am in the band, and we are knocking it out of the park! Especially the lead player…

Love your channel - technical question - how did you fix your trem arm so that it's not flopping around?
I think it depends on the tread on the arm. I have another spare that does flop around. I lost the original a while back, so I ordered a Fender arm from Amazon for this particular model and luckily it tightens right where I want it. But a guitar repair shop might be able to fix it for you.
Too thin and twangy..need more of a surf sound.
