How can I tell visually that a control arm is bent? Or is it a worn control arm bushing which can cause a slight sag?
What brand / source for that nifty screw type jack stand? Does A1 Auto sell them? Thanks
What should I do if I broke the bolt going into the control arm horizontally while trying to get it out?
Does the same process apply for a 2007 Escape that is AWD. I noticed the rear side where the control arm attaches to the differential has some sort of nut that is rounded off?

The lower control arm bolt should be torqued to 85 ft lbs. The mechanic tried 129 ft lbs on mine and snapped the bolt.

Where did you see 85 ft lbs? I'm looking at the official workshop manual right now and it says 129 ft lbs.

How come you push the ball joint in so easily? I can't push the ball joint in. is it because I'm doing it on the floor?
Same here. I've tried forcing it in with a jack and also using a sledge with still no luck. No idea how he pushed it in by hand.
