Great video! Aurora has been my favorite brand for a few years and the 88 is my favorite model. The Volterra is CURRENTLY my favorite, BUT I have the new marbled black/yellow ebonite 88 coming that could become my new favorite - we'll have to wait and see 😊
Unless you love ebonite, the Volterra will still reign supreme! Haha! Because ebonite has a very beautiful and different feel to it, so that will be the one big thing it has over Volterra. 88 is my favorite model too! Fortunately for me, not many of them wow me enough to have more than this Volterra. Someday when I make even more money, I’d probably have more of the very special high end Auroras like the Ambienti. Thank you for watching, sharing your kind words and your experience with Aurora!
Thanks so much for this video! Not only is it a peaceful few minutes of pen adoration, but very it’s also a very useful review…particularly when it comes to the “investment” models!
@@natasharay4045 You’re welcome, Natasha 🥰 I was hoping my editing didn’t make the music too distracting, I wanted to make it a calming and fun watch while still being useful, too! Happy you enjoyed how the video turned out! Thank you thank you 😇
@@CraftyKrystal 😍🥰 That’s wonderful! Yes, I’m so happy with how this video review turned out - gotta show off my favorite pen in the best way I could. Thank you for being patient with me! I hope you’ll be able to get one someday soon!
Thank you so much for this review! I first saw the Aurora Volterra on your most recent review of your entire pen collection and I could not get it out of my mind. You and I enjoy similar aesthetics in pens (I LOVE green too!!) and I can always trust your analysis of the functional aspects of the pens you review. All that being said, I received my Volterra two days ago and am very happy 😊 Unfortunately, I missed out on the EF and Fine but did get a Medium, which reminds me of my Platinum 3776 Broad. Thanks for all your great videos and for sharing your knowledge.
@@PenMaven204 thank you, Willow! I’m so happy to hear you’ve also acquired a Volterra into your collection! It’s such a beauty to behold! I don’t feel like I can go any broader than a platinum medium for every day use, but we shall see! I decided medium for my Second Aurora just so I can have two different experience and use the medium for my drier blue and green inks or to show off more of the tones as a medium usually will be wetter. Thank you so much for your kind words! Makes me feel good that I’m on the right track with my videos haha! 🥰
The Voterra is gorgeous! And Aurora makes wonderful pens. I have my 5th on the way. I think the Volterra will definitely be the next one I pick up. I feel very much the same about my Aurora's. They are my favorites and always inked!
@@Quiney08 Hi Corinne, that’s amazing that you have so many! I thought I’d only have this one, but if the last two cities are rose gold and a color I love, my wallet will be in trouble again! Was waiting for this video ❤ so wonderful. Thank you for your amazing reviews. I was sleuthing your Volterra in your past videos and finally got mine last week. It’s so so so beautiful…thank you for penabling me! 😂 worth every penny! Went for the Goccia extra fine and love it dearly
@@julianaberry63 Hi Juliana, sorry for the wait but I’m glad you enjoyed the video! So glad you were able to find a Volterra! They’re so rare at times during the year. I vaguely remember it is like a stub or architect? 😊 and you are welcome for the penablement lol
@@KenchanKrafts totally worth the wait ☺️I was so happy to find my Volterra. @@ms.rocketscience4924 XD I have yet to see the Matera in person, but I can only imagine how beautiful it is! The porcelain like blue parts of that pen seem to shimmer and shine in such a beautiful way. I hope I can see it at the SF show in two weeks…but I cannot afford to get all of them in one go lol!! Though that could be a fun goal to try and achieve over time! I have Ortigia on the way and I’m also interested in Baia, too, but since I’m a rose gold guy, the silver trims on the others have helped me stay away from impulsively collecting them.
White isn't my color at all, but it looks like a very well-made pen. I think the Baia pen in the Aurora Viaggio Segreto line is more my personal style.
@@Ursulas_Odds_and_Sods Hi Ursula! Yes, Baia and Matera have also intrigued me. Especially Baia as that’s a very beautiful more subdued tone of blues and purples together. But each one is so beautiful and unique in their own way. I’m excited to see what the last two cities will be and look like. (We now have Matera, Volterra, Baia, Mantova, Burano, and now Ortigia)
Thank you. Aurora is my favorite brand - both new and vintage. While it is true that the 18k nibs are pretty stiff, my experience with their 14k nibs is that they are a bit more bouncy. Not Platinum soft fine bouncy, but still a bit more than the 18k nibs are. You mentioned the most important thing to me which is how precise the line is. Whether fine or broad, the line from my Auroras is always consistent. Looking forward to picking some up at the SF Pen show in a couple of weeks. I’ve been saving!

I am so tempted by this model Lao. I am torn between paying up for the neutral goodness of this model or saving some money and going for one of the models on sale at Atlas.
