Thank You fore Sharing My first recording on vinyl 15 years olde was Die Walkure First act by Him.He was my first love of Wagner ,,,,,, Love This Tannhauser
Literally I can’t find the words to describe how Kna conducts this. It is overwhelming and fascinating how he drives the music with such a style, stamina, lyricism, force, conviction, perfection... Few days ago I read a quote by Hans Hotter referring to Kna: "He was such a king". Indeed he was.
No other conductor could interpret Wagner at this pure and full of soul level, only Kna! He rest at this beautiful small cemetery in München Bogenhausen
Wagner composed this when he was 31-32 yo, it wonders me such a young man with limited musical education reached to these wonders. From where did he get the inspiration and knowledge to put this on a score?? OMG… it is overwhelming. Think what other composers were doing around the early 1840s and you’ll see this music was really from Mars or beyond…

There are no words to describe this...words, superlatives, can only be gross understatements. This is grand and touches the soul.
Calm, grounded determination, appreciating the details
