I really like that you post the road name/number always, and nearby features like lakes. Too many videos just show the riding but when it looks good, I have to do serious detective work to find out the roads they actually took. I guess it's natural for you as a cartographer to do this, but I appreciate it. I used to spend many cold winter nights poring over the DeLorme state atlas maps, and now google maps, to find roads like this. I've been leading rides more often in the last few years - I used to just follow - and I like finding all the hidden gem roads in the mountains and sharing them with friends.
Just a few for you that you didn't show and may or may not know. Persimmon Ridge off 11 comes up to 276, Heathery Heights above Summit Lake to the Saluda side, Pace Mountain Rd off Heathery Heights and of course Pearson's Falls. Green River Rd and Pinnacle Mtn Road are also fun. These are all dirt/gravel and are connected by beautiful blacktop
@@americaridesmaps Its not much but a gravel road and can be a bit treacherous with fresh gravel. It cuts the corner on the bottom part of 276 and is more fun when we go up into the mountains.
Good morning greetings from Martinsville Va I was just looking at ur RUclips I'm very interested in knowing more about that location I'm looking for new areas to ride this up coming bike season where yall started and end please let me know more about it
Nice ride , around the end I noticed the drone shots I was trying to figure out who had the drone that's what I want to do I've been looking into drones I don't want an expensive one for my first drone so I think I'll go with a Bug's 16 pro for now anyway thanks for wonderful video.
I've been using the DJI Mavic mini though it died on this trip. The off road beating is hard on them, I've been through 2 so far. Rumor has it they're releasing the 3rd generation in April so I'm waiting to get another.
I enjoyed the video. I am looking for a motorcycle map of NC. into eastern TN. I am coming down there from NYC this August. Any help would be appreciated.
I use a variety of cameras. Helmet shots are GoPro 10. I also use a GoPro 8 for handheld, as well as a Google phone and iPhone for the off the bike shots.

The 100 Rides in the Smokies map might work well for you.
Great video and ride! May I ask what camera you are using? Have made plans to bike in NC this coming May. Well done!
