    Melissa! Outstanding video. Some of the roads look familiar, like you could be in any town U.S.A. The voice over was
    very nice. You are quite good at it. 😃 ......................... 😎👍👍

      Thanks, Joseph! It is so much fun to read up on the history of those areas we go. Makes the rides so much more enjoyable. Yes, I would love to go back...just watching those curves makes me want to get back out there.

    very well done !! Brought back memories of the moonshiner 28. @ or near 7:24 area of video ( remember the guard rail at lower elevation running along side the river ) a little dog jumped out of car in front of us, dog was ok. then @ or near 8:58 of video we were able to go around car pinched into the rock cliff by a box truck. the bridal falls if i remember was a very lo flow. spent the week in maggie valley. I'll catch a few more videos

    Loved your video. I can't wait to get back to this area. I rode the northern part of this for the first time in November of 2023. The 2-lane stretch east of US129 is awesome. But I was really amazed by the section between US19/74 west of Bryson City and Cowee, north of Franklin. You're right about keeping an eye on the road. It takes discipline. The section between Franklin and Highlands (shared with US64) I have ridden many times over the past 30 years. It never gets old. The only negative is the amount of traffic that you often get stuck behind. NC28 south of Highlands into GA is equally awesome. I've never biked it south of Warwoman Road into SC. But Warwoman Rd west into Clayton GA is killer, too. There are simply too many great roads to list them all. My dilemma is always deciding whether to explore roads that are new to me or hit my favorites that I've been riding for years.

    Hey, back....also watching.... I was hoping you were going to go through the Tail of the Dragon. Awesome scenery all the way through. I'm afraid to bring my wife to your side of the world. She may never want to come back home. I think it's great you led the group. I'm sure it's because you do all the research to plan the trip. Because I'm such a speed demon on my bike, it took a few trips for me to be able to lead a group correctly. Lot of responsibility when leading a group.

      Wellll,,,,when I get episode 4 / day 4 of our trip up, you will see the Tail of the Dragon. :) (hint...may not be what you expect). Yes, it is beautiful country out here especially in the mountains. Leading is hard work...and truly a big responsibility. Thank you so much for watching.

    If you watch this and it looks grainy or blurry, make sure your settings are switched to 4K. There is a HUGE difference between watching it in 720 and 2160.

    • @RidingHumboldtCounty
      @RidingHumboldtCounty 2 года назад

      Shouldn’t matter what we’re watching it in if you’re exporting using the right settings. RUclips has two codes vp9 and avc. Take a look at any of my recent videos. Most aren’t in 4K but they look like they are. It’s because I have the code. If you’re interested in finding out about it hmu on Instagram

      @@RidingHumboldtCounty I would love to make sure we are uploading correctly. I never recall needing to do anything specific before to watch it in 4k. I always have a 4K version to upload. Will definitely want to see those settings. Will do some research on that. Thank you.

      @@MidLifeStyleTwins the problem with uploading in 4K is that it takes forever and it takes a lot of space on your computer as well. It’s completely unnecessary 😉

The dragon is a must but I prefer this ride. Stop counting at 10 times. (Fort Wayne, Indiana) Thanks for the video, Jesse A. McMurtry

    Oh, by the way...regarding the speed advisory signs on mountain roads: On a 3-wheeler, I can imagine that you have to watch your speed. But on a crotch rocket ('86 GSXR750) or in a sports car ('90 MR-2 Supercharged), my rule of thumb was always "double and add 10". So, if it says 15, you're good at 40; if it says 25, then 60.

    • @MidLifeStyleTwins
      @MidLifeStyleTwins  9 месяцев назад

      LOL. Yeah, trikes can tip. The tow truck driver told me he has been to many three wheel tipping accidents where they were going a little too fast for the curve.
