That is great. Tom Baker is my favorite Doctor. While I do like every actor who's played the role, Tom Baker comes closest to perfection in the part due to his eccentric qualities. I've never met Tom Baker, though I do have a great personally signed autograph from him which I've treasured for many years.
@@Grandmastergav86 I'm from the United States, so it was much more difficult for me to meet him in person. Glad to know your experience with meeting Tom Baker is first rate and unique. I have something like 25 autographs from him as I've written him since I was a kid in high school!
I wish I could meet Tom Baker I think he’s awesome. Whoever said that he may have aged but his personality is a mortal. They’re absolutely right his personality hasn’t changed and I hope it never does. He’s very comical and he always has a way of making me laugh
Love Tom Baker, just like Brian Johnson taking over from Bon Scott, when he took over from Pertwee, it was a hard act to follow but he nailed it. Not an easy thing to do but imo just as good as Pertwee as DR WHO. Brilliant.
It’s always been my dream to meet somebody as famous as Tom Baker. I would love to talk to him and say thank you for seven years of Doctor Who. That was the best medicine I can get and he was it. He’ll always be Doctor Who in my heart forever. And I’ll always love him for that.
Imagine sitting in your home, and your boyfriend or girlfriend accidentally texts to your landline... Not just texts... Sexts. And it would be tom's voice. I think i would have to rip the plug out of the wall and die.
I never realized it was him that did the voice over for Little Britain - I have an excuse, I'm an American. Pardon me while I go polish my spurs and ride my bull on down the prairie range singing kaiyai yippee yai yay
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!! Tom Baker is the funniest person I have listened to in a looooooog time. This video just makes me love Tom more. I especially adored that last clip. Keep these coming!
Was that last clip of Tom from a Boston Sci-fi convention in 1983? Because I was there, and he was dressed exactly like that, and told that same story. I recall that he would not sign autographs, but did a reception line and shook everyone by the hand. He had very soft hands. And there was I, too self conscious to wear the 18 foot scarf that my grandmother has just made me, but had it rolled up in my arms.
I walked past Tom Baker in the street once when he was talking to someone. No idea who the other person was or what they were talking about but I heard Tom say the word "bollocks" as he strode majestically past.
Clearly Paul wasnt amused, obvously appearing Tom taking a tiny bit of limelight on 1 show he didnt care for going by these clips, saying that Tom is force .
Such a privilege to live in the time of Tom Baker.
Omg, i literally had a mouthful of tea when i heard him say that first bit with k-9. Nearly died choking on it 😂😂🤣
i've loved him since i was a kid in the 70s he is a living legend
I could listen to Tom all day, I remember meeting him in Oxford st in about 77 he always had time to talk to his fans.
was there anyone else on Oxford street who met him?
@@edmund184 yes there was a few why
More Tom Baker. Bloody marvelous.
Tom Baker and Barry Humphries are two peas in a pod. Same generation, same sense of humour, same cheekiness and irreverence. Love them both. :)
I saw him once at a comic con. Although I didn't meet him I saw the way he was with his fans. Such a gentleman and so patient and charming.
The greatest human being who ever lived. Probably. Thanks TB

Met him twice, hilarious, tried to chat up my Mum. Exceptionally polite, exceptionally patient, a true legend.

I find Patrick Troughton better.
He'll always be my Doctor. 💙💙
There's just something about the pitch of his voice sometimes that makes me laugh. Delightfully strange and eccentric 😁
8:41 the realization that he still just wears scarfs that long for something like this made me incredibly happy lmao
The best Doctor of all.
Who, Pat Troughton? :P
So weird to hear him swear at K-9.
There's a clearer clip of that footage. Must be from a knackered VHS.
I would
Can't blame him because he's right.
Should have heard the tale when Adric told him to f off.

Him and Miriam Margolyes would get on like a house on fire. Make it happen.
Tom is so hilarious. Would love to meet him.

Just as well, given he's been typecast in that role forever. :P

they did away with it :-(
StephenDHenderson yeah, sadly. It would've been amazing if it were kept around. XD
that would be terrifying, even my dragons will run away.

I love Tom,, at times he looks and sound's like a posh Ken Dodd

3:52 I wonder why the left wing girl can't stop laughing at that?
Muriel was always more than just that but it is sriking today. Merton seems very unhappy. And Tom seems to delight in toying with Hislop.
Oh dear, you have fallen for the presses lies about Corbyn. Who decides your opinion, the Sun or the Daily Mail?
@@jean-lucpicard5510 My opinions are decided by me
@edmund184 With help from the right wing press. GB news, Talk TV etc....
He is a clownish bore.
OOOO...get you!!
