  • Join me as I'm finally doing my first solo cross country flight while training for my Private Pilot License! If you're not familiar, a "cross country" flight is just a flight that is at least 50 nautical miles. Today I'm flying from Myrtle Beach, SC, to Darlington, SC.

Great opportunity to track the FLO VOR. Pitching for 90 going into the base? You meant 45 degrees from the numbers, not abeam. 85 and 70 for base and final? Those all seem high, especially with no wind.

Our planes are in MPH so our procedure is 90, 80, 75. Yea turning base I said abeam instead of 45. Still turned at the right time, just said it wrong.
