When Spencer goes back into the fantastical world of Jumanji, pals Martha, Fridge and Bethany re-enter the game to bring him home. But the game is now broken -- and fighting back. To think that he couldn't hear nor understand the human voices screaming Jumanji, but he gets it when a horse neighs it instead... That just shows how honest and deep their friendship actually was, despite the quarrel.

Anti-Climax Boss: Despite being a powerful warrior who is able to toss Bravestone around like Bravestone does to others, once Jurgen gets the Jumanji Berry smashed on his chest, he's rendered powerless and doesn't even fight back as Bravestone starts beating him up.
Yeah but what other option does Jurgen have? Fight? He'll die. Flee? Can't imagine someone surviving a fall from that height.

A final boss would have one weakness so.......
Well, a lot of final bosses in older games had a 'weakness' that the player had to exploit to beat them.
So the reason The Jumanji Berry is Jurgen's weakness is because it makes him vulnerable. Awesome!

Since Jurgen has a menu for his strengths and weakness, that means he’s an avatar and someone’s playing as him. Dwayne Johnson confirmed this and said we’ll find out who he really is in the next movie. I have 3 theories on who it might be…
1. Van Pelt. Even though he sorta “died” in the last movie, he was in the 1995 movie too. So maybe the game just isn’t done with him yet. Therefore, the game decided to make him a brand new villain and completely changed him.
2. Principal Bentley. Perhaps after he sent Spencer, Bethany, Martha, and Fridge home from detention in the last movie, he heard the drums from the game and decided to check it out. Therefore, he got sent into the game after. And with the few years being trapped in the game, even though he doesn’t like the idea, he has to portray the villain in order to get out. With that, when the characters realize who he really is by having Spencer reminded him what he said to them all: Decide who you are in this life. You got one life. You choose how to spend it. This can help Bentley remember who he is.
3. Noah. In the previous movie, Noah was the name of Bethany’s ex boyfriend from the football team. She broke up with him because he didn’t reply to her instagram picture. Maybe when he got back to school that Monday, he heard the drums and got sucked into the game. But those drums are the same ones that were heard at the end of the last movie. Therefore, they destroyed it with the bowling ball after. I know it’s too wild of a person to choose from, but it can be any student at the school who heard it.

And here we see the weakness affecting someone IMMENSELY unlike the guy who had heat and sand as a weakness in a desert. He should have been at least out of commission the whole time they were in the desert by that logic

If you think about it, Jurgen probably didn't want to kill Bravestone's parents. You see, during the final battle, Spencer accidentally activated Jurgen's list of strengths and weaknesses. Dwayne Johnson confirmed that Jurgen is really an avatar and we'll find out who the player is in the next movie. With this, the person who played Jurgen obviously didn't want to kill Bravestone's parents. It was an objective the game gave him. He did it because he thought it put him on the path to leaving the game.
Also, in the next movie, they're saying the avatars will be coming to the real world. They say that the avatars will have their own personalities since no players will be in their bodies. Therefore, Bravestone might get pissed off with the person that played as Jurgen to kill his parents. But Spencer, Martha, Fridge, and Bethany will manage to calm him down since the player was forced to do it. But if the real Jurgen does get to come to the real world and have a personality of his own, he might say he remembers when Bravestone's parents and say he enjoyed it. Therefore, we can see the real Bravestone and Jurgen fight so he can truly avenge his parents deaths.

Same way we got an Iowa class battleship hammering an alien spaceship armed with explosive pegs from a board game manual. Insanely creative story writers.
The board morphed into a console.
The movie of the board game came from a children's book.
I personally found it clever^^
You know? adapting the board game into something more modern/technological.
In this case a video game.

Jurgen is an avatar. A player. My theory and hear me out, is: Mike parrish. (idk real 1st name. This name a place holder). Alan parish's son. (The mom was shown pregnant at the end if u recall. .)He heard stories from his parents, and wanted to have his own adventures and play the game. He did it alone against their wishes anx got trapped. Slowly goong crazy,due to time warp effect and his personality almost fusing with the character itself.
It'd be a a tragic and suprising twist "end" to the parrish story that started with allan as a child in 1st movie , with mike being a fetus at the end,seemingly a happy end only to then move on to next generation as the son stuck, and crazy. no longer himself, which will be a plot point in the next. They will defeat him by making him rememebe who he really is (sort of like luke did to Vader. Total rip off sure but has been ripped off many times before and still works. )
wrong first of all alex vreeks father found jumanji buried in the sand after alan and sarah threw the game into the river so even if alan and sarah had a kid he would not know about jumanji
