Exploratory surgery to r/o endometriosis resulted in not having children in this lifetime. After working with and for special children for many years, today I am thankful for being childless. Grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change, the courage to change what I can, and the wisdom and willingness to know the difference ❤
This is truly something special to read.
🙏🙏
My prayers for you, sister 🙏🙏🙏
Was it the surgery itself that caused complications
Great to hear! I'm 29. I have endometriosis in both left and right ovaries. I'm still in the middle of wanting to have kids or just get surgery for it to be gone for good. 😞
Suffered all these symptoms for years. Doctors were unhelpful. Finally got a DNC. Had less symptoms after. Menopause came. Periods ended 10yrs ago. I am now 57yrs. Got diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer. Thank God It was caught early, but ladies please get an ultrasound every year. Thats how my cyst was spotted. Burst during surgery so i ended up having chemotherapy. Please girls, get scanned, even if you have to go private. Well worth 150euro. Ovarian cancer is the silent killer. Please please please get a scan. Do not rely on a doctor. Get it done yourself. Best of luck💕
Me too but did not do chemo
Did you have any Menopause symptoms like HOT FLASHES if so did you take any Hormones?
It's almost $3000 here in the states to go get tested with no insurance.
Had endometriosis, probably for longer than I expected. Serious pain and incredibly heavy bleeding along with inability to get pregnant led me to hysterectomy. Only a few days out but I am so glad I can be done with the suffering
Wow happy healing. As long you are feeling better
Finally an endo video not filled with misinformation, thank you!
I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo after an ex lap, and after suffering over 15 years of excruciating pain. I can't even remember how many days of school, then work, I missed because of the pain and extremely heavy periods. I'd lost count of how many times I'd actually fainted from the pain. My GYN said he'd never seen such a severe case of adhesions and lesions, and actually asked (which I don't remember b/c I was still woozy and in recovery) if I had ever been sexually assaulted. I had two more ex laps after that to remove adhesions and try to lessen the pain, then made the painful decision to have a full hysterectomy at 33, taking away forever my dreams of becoming a mother. I weighed the pros and cons very carefully, but eventually decided I just couldn't take the pain anymore. But not being able to have children brought with it a psychological pain that still gnaws at me to this day, 12 years later.
My heart/sympathy goes out to you further and deeper than you can ever imagine my fellow endo warrior. I AM SO sorry! 💔🥲💛
I hope it’s not insensitive for me to ask, but are you now free of physical pain? Have you at least regained a healthy quality of life?
I have been battling this disease for over three decades! Three years ago, a mass the size of a kiwi was removed from my spine, but I continued to suffer because they dropped the ball. Pathology overlooked the fact that I have been on birth control for over two decades; so more comprehensive testing would have been required for an accurate diagnose. Hence, I remain severely ill. The disease has spread everywhere. Diaphragm, nose, ears, obviously bowels, bladder etc etc etc…
I don’t want to write too much as I can go on forever. Just also wonder what state did you have your surgery and how you feel in reference to the quality of service/care.
Thanks in advance. Sending blessings Ladycplum.
@@yahayrawhoWow, your story is worse than mine! I'm hoping you can get the care you need to be pain free and live a normal life. And to answer your question, yes, the pain was completely gone after I had the hysterectomy. Only the pain from the actual surgery took a little while to go away.
@@ladycplum Thank you.
My situation is an utter nightmare!! I went so hysterical that no matter what doctors I saw in NYC, and being alone I became unable to properly advocate for myself. For example, perhaps if I gone to a better GYN doctor I would have possibly been properly diagnosed. But I saw countless specialists and no one even said anything like- hey, you might need to see a better GYN doctor. You know, based on all of my symptoms.
Anyway, I left my beautiful rent stabilized apartment in NYC, and even though I haven’t worked in over 4 years (very limited of money) moved to SC. This state doesn’t offer Medicaid to single people.
I don’t know what’s going to happen to me. But thanks for replying and providing me with some kind of hope. To be pain free will be a dream come true.
I’m happy for you!
I’m so sorry for you. I don’t know if I have endometriosis but I have a few times fainted and vomited times from such excruciating pain that I thought I would die. I don’t know if pain is even right word, it doesn’t even feel like pain since it is so sudden, it’s so much worse. It’s debilitating and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Do you know how can sexual assault lead to endometriosis?
This is wonderfully explained!
Great video on this topic!
I am 16 and am constantly screaming on the floor in pain vomiting. Probably have endometriosis. My dream is to have a large family with many children one day. I hope that is able to happen. If not, I want to adopt/foster children. Is that feasible?
i feel so lucky to get diagnosed early... i got my dx at 15
A major red flag to mention to your doctor that was not mentioned here... apparantly blood clots (larger ones) is a not normal period thing. For 15 years or more, i never knew this nor was asked; when asked about my periods i would always answer that they were up to 10 days, very heavy and very painful and ovulation also caused pain. So only at my hysterectomy (for massive, uterus stuffed fibroids) did the gyne ask me if i had experienced blood clots. Yes! But Still no diagnosis of endometriosis. Today is 8 years past that hysterectomy and i am going thru ovarian cancer. The surgery for this discovered the cancer of course and endometriosis all over my abdominal cavity. So weird.
That's unbelievable...its such a hard desease. Do they think it could have led to the cancer
Thank you for sharing. Were your white cells normal on cbc prior to procedure?
@@JenniferCastro173as far as I know my blood work was normal Until about a year before my hysterectomy when I was quite anemic. I was always pale though!
@@tjyb1502 i wasbafraid you were gonna say that. Thank for feedback

I suffer from severe cramping. It takes me out for a full day or more. I'm vomiting for 6 hours straight. Diarrhea, chills and body aches. I can't stand up or lay down. And its only getting worse as I get older. I've got an appointment scheduled but now more then ever am I worried I might have endometriosis
Have u seen an Obgyn?
@MasterKDProductions not yet. I have an appointment scheduled, so I'll see what they say.
I’ve had this for my past two cycles - two weeks before ovulation.. is it the same with you??
@Catherine Simpson not really, as all this pain and vomiting happens during my period. Day 1 and onward. It's something I've been dealing with sense I was 13.
Did u get to know the cause?
I am suffering from endometriosis a year ago, i almost passed out during my 1stday of period.i take advil and buscopan plus to soften the muscle in my uterus and to ease pain. So difficult to get this kind of thickened endometrial disease.Lord help me with my disease.I kept on medicating w magnesium and k3d2 vitanibs supplement and vit.e and in addition i have nausea, vomitting and diarhea during my 1st day of period.
The pain is not unbearable for me it's just annoying it's cramping even without a peroid. I feel it in my back an ovary area esp when i wake up in the am..anyone else?
that could be pms
My breast hurt and I cramp on a scale 1-10 the pains is at a 4, 8-10 days before my period. That could just be PMs like the comment above stated
I totally relate.😖
You need to see a gynaecologist as soon as possible....and have a vaginas ultrasound...doctor wll tell you if
have a cys in your ovary..
The most debilitating pain ever.
I dread my period starting, the pain would be that bad that I would end up throwing up because the pain would shoot down my back and into my legs
This is exactly how I felt. Even walking or doing physical activity would make me vomit from the pain.
Same!!! 2015 and part of 2016 were the worse years for me. I would throw up from the cramps, feel like I wanted to faint, sweat, feel cold then feel hot it was a mess.
I do feel intense pain ... But only on my first day of period that too for 6-7 hours... Is it normal or not?
I have gone through Laparatomy but still in so much pain 😢😢
Daily taking Magnesium pills really helped me a lot for cramps , so i recomend. Result is after taking on a daily base for minimum one month.
Vitamin d helped me
It is not fair I was misdiagnosed with endometriosis a year ago. My gynecologist told i had it but never offered me to get an MRI. He got it completely wrong 😢my pathology results showed two uterine polyps and some adhesions from a previous c-section 😢.
Why are these doctors given endometriosis diagnosis by using a 2D ultrasounds if they are not even experts 😢😢 my period were not even painful i only agreed to my diagnosis because i believed he was right.
He only suggested some pill prescription Oralissa and a total hysterectomy 😢
Hi please answer, can this cause yellow stool? Can rogue tissue grow in other places ie breast tissue or even the nostril?
Endo used to sometimes give me oily or mucousy yellowish stool when my bowel endo was very inflamed. Also endo can grow literally anywhere in the body.
I had severe pain although the doctor said it was a mild case.
I have none of these symptoms...and an ultrasound just found 8cm cysts on each ovary that look like "endometriomas." According to literature, this is often considered stage 4 endometriosis. I'm only now beginning to experience recognizable discomfort...
Might be PCOS though, that's what I have
I am 38, married for 4 years plus now, I am still trying to conceive naturally.
Ew did not want to know that
How's it going?
@@user05xwhats so “ew” about it
26 And only found out I have this is by having an ectopic pregnancy/surgery
Just got back from my doc i have endometriosis yah me i was crying in pain whole day...
Sister, I also cried when my doctor said I have a 6 cm ovarian cyst 😭😭😭😭
I experience most of the things mentioned above but I visit three hospitaland did scan but they're mention nothing serious about it, does that mean endometriosis does not show on a scan? I need an answer 😢
I was sent for a second opinion of why I had all these symptoms to a gyn oncologist and she did a biopsy of the tissue looking discharge I was having and the results point to endometriosis. I have appt next week to confirm. If it wasn’t for me being on blood thinner and bleeding a lot even though I don’t have a uterus they wouldn’t have been concerned. For years I been telling them of me spotting all the time and they never listen and said it was normal. Keep fighting for an answer. It is not normal to bleed with sex and have pains. I been with my husband for 20 years and this whole situation is taking a toll on my marriage because I don’t want to be touched. The pain is now unbearable 😢
Hi I'm no expert, buy endometriosis is properly/ only diagnosed with laproscopy surgery. I've been on up and down to hospitals and doctors and that all they say.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 video about Endometriosis warning symptoms)
Sometimes I wonder why me.... every month pain... I get anxious and depressed when my period comes around... every month I can't work on the 2nd day.... never got the child I wanted.... this just isn't fair
It truly isn't 😢
Looks like I don't have endometriosis thank god! on my period I have this like lower back pain and its so hard to describe it, you know how sometimes in the morning your on the toilet and when you bend down your back hurts? It feels like ghat and its not exactly painful but a few minutes ago I had this severe lower back pain (it felt like excessive trapped gas) i was literally dying but now I'm fine! My pelvic also hurts for a small amount of time and its kinda sharp but other than that I'm fine!

I doubt they care.

So taking half the bottle of aleave pain pills the first two days of my period is not normal ?
Darling u should get that checked out whilst I'm reading comments I'm freaking tf out about me possible very possible endometriosis diagnosis this Saturday 😭
I had to be put on Vicodin for my pain because I was taking so many over-the-counter meds like Advil and Aleve you'd think I was just eating my way through a bag of M&M's. And because of that I ended up hospitalized in kidney failure.
No , it’s not normal.
Do not exceed max daily doses unless told to do so by a medical professional. Seek medical help for your symptoms.
i took three different meds at their highest possible dose and still had pain, wouldve had to switch to some kinda Morphine... but the i started taking a desogestrel/progestogen mini pill and been keepin my endo at bay
Alhamdulillah i have a baby boy now he is 3 years. After my son birth i dont have a problem about period its on time. But now i cant explain my pain because of scar endometriosis. Any one suggest me what should i do???
16 ….16 years it took them to figure it out. Miss my kiddos :(
Not much of these symptoms .. I had rocks growing out of my stomach . I thought it was a cancer tumors . I had to have a full hysterectomy and pelvic mesh . I was 30 years old when I discovered endometriosis.
Hi, could you explain a little more how your symptoms manifested? Was it stomach pain, IBS, etc?
I finally gave up on holding any hourly job.. because I know it'll be sabotaged by POS period anyways. I can barely get out of bed with it going on. Been 26 years of this NONSENSE!
Same...😢
I been on my period for months now and it's turning black I'm scared
Can endo cause emotional instability? I had an abusive girl get diagnosed with endo and she had very intense anxiety and she was emotionally abusive towards me.
It's not an excuse for abusive behavior. It does though, affect emotional and mental stability
Chronic pain usually leads to emotional instability.
Periods def do increase anxiety and panic attack episodes. Although, if you are not happy in the relationship get out whilst you can! I mean when I’m having bad cramps (feel like I’m in labor) I can’t control what happens. I moan, groan, and roll around. Sometimes kick and move my legs. Kinda flaying around b/c I can’t handle the pain. Sometimes I do lash out before my period but I’ve never been abusive. Idk if this helps you out or not.

What about bleeding after intercourse? Also intercourse feels like sandpaper.
Yes it makes intercourse painful or at least non enjoyable.
Bleeding after intercourse can also be a sign of cervical cancer. Don't mean to scare you, but I just want you to be informed 🙏🙏🙏
The sandpaper during intercourse feeling might also be dryness/a bit of vaginal atrophy. While you should still talk to a gynecologist, you might find that using lubricant will help with your bleeding and discomfort with sex.
Sandpaper? That means you are wet enough for penetration
