I've watched this movie three times over the last year. You understand what its all about the first time, but its easy now to realize what the people back then went through. Most people today know so little about WW2 and Hitler other than to call some people Hitler when they are not.
I think you need to qualify that statement, as I believe most people over the age of 15 know more about WW2 than you appear to be giving them credit for. Perhaps you are referring to the US, but RUclips is a global channel. 😉
There are millions of brave people resisting fascism and capitalism today all around the world. They get killed or imprisoned. One example is Julian Assange but there are vast numbers of others.
Not only historically interesting, but probably based on fact. The acting was excellent and the film easy to follow. Such brave people. Even though I was hurt and emotional at the end, I thank you sincerely for this post...an amazing film.
Good Watch Was surprised to see the two actors portraying the wicked colonel (Martin Kosleck) and his secretary (Mona Maris) in identical roles in "Berlin Correspondent" and she backstabs him in both!
This movie, teen should be asked to watch. May open there eyes (maybe) that real life does not involve video games. From the greatest generation (Time of this movie, 1941) to todays generation. They will learn as history is about to repeat itself and even worse.
What a nice movie, with a leading part by Philip Thorn, a fellow dutchman, here known as the pre-war actor Frits van Dongen (birth ame Hein van der niet.). I enjoyed the movie very much.
2:37 Herman is played by Hans Conried, (not credited). Conried was in movies, played occassional parts in many TV shows and may be remembered as Danny's Uncle Tonoose in the Danny Thomas Show.
I was wondering where I had seen him before in a movie...So many of the actors in these movies made a lot of this type of movie. With so many streaming channels running old movies, I don't watch very many new movies, let alone go out to an actual movie theater. Sad.
I've been looking for a "stinkin' nazi" movie like the ones they had on TV in the 1950 for a long time. I hope this is one of them. Oh, you've got the names switched between Erik und Kurt.
Great movie really really liked it 😊 This movie is so up to date regarding what we are living today in the EU . No more free speech - democracy is gone - control of cash money - vaccination obligation - QR code. Etc. Etc. Etc. It’s only the beginning - the worst is coming. The 300 start to be old and push forward 😅😊
Good Movie God Bless Luke 12:3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
This film was the targetb= of right-wing members of the House of Representives for being "anti-German." Martin Kosleck, who played the evil Col. Heller, was a gay Czech actor who knew what would happen had he stayed in Czechoslavakia duing the rise of Nazism. He was a marvelous actor.

The worst is that in the EU exactly the same started again. Dictatorship about free speech - thinking - vaccination 💉 - cash money and a lot more 😊

This film is a real gem. Glad I stumbled across it!
did you get the info?
Our pathetic, weak and spineless society would be hard to find such brave people today.
There are millions of brave people resisting fascism and capitalism today all around the world. They get killed or imprisoned. One example is Julian Assange but there are vast numbers of others.
No Fear of God
did you get the message?
There were actually very few people who resisted the Nazis in that way in the good old days in Germany!
I disagree, many Americans are fighting against Donald Trump and his authoritarian vision for the USA. Pity the SCOTUS is not amongst them.

Great movie
USA was not at war with Nazi Germany yet and already made such anti Nazi films. Question: was the underground really so strong?
What a great movie. ❤

Phillip Dorn sounds very much like Paul Henreid.

So viele Hakenkreuze an jeder Ecke soll wohl eher stimulieren. Die Realität ist aber nie so deutlich.
Heute ist die Pfanne Blau mit Gelbe Sternen. 🧐
Is that Hans Conried?

Excellent propaganda film however; the Nazi and the Japanese both had Radio Direction Finders, you could not stay on the air long.
That the reason they moved so often
