  • This is quite a contrast to the previous Train Simulator recording, isn't it?
Instead of a small 0-4-0ST at a whiskey distillery, today we are driving an Amtrak AEM-7 electric locomotive out of New York's Penn station, on the original Northeast Corridor route. This route is REALLY starting to show its age in 2020. You will see what I mean as the journey progresses.
As previously stated, we are taking an Amtrak train out from Penn station. Our run ends 57.87 miles down the line at Trenton, New Jersey. Trenton station is served by SEPTA and NJ Transit commuter services, in addition to the Amtrak 'Acela Express', 'Keystone' and 'Northeast Regional' trains. We are only calling at one station today, and that's Newark Penn (which is also in New Jersey). This service was actually a 'Keystone' service, who's ultimate destination was Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Part of the original Northeast Corridor route - New York Penn to Rahway - was re-made in 2015 as part of the North Jersey Coast Line, which is a route that focuses on New Jersey Transit commuter trains.

You know, there’s another way you can buy a sound-set for this Locomotive.
