The fact is some players have qualities that can potentially make them successful football directors and i don’t think the suggestion that Mata could be one of them is far fetched.

Exactly! He's served us well, but if this club is ambitious enough, he wouldn't have been 2 years ago. Signing another contract means another year of him blocking the youngsters from even getting on the bench, let alone the pitch, and he's not even been playing well recently 🤦🏽♂️.

@@nyuyunikarl1174 not true. If anything he's been signed to help the young players off the pitch. There will be plenty of matchday squads that we do not see him but we do see Diallo or Elanga. That's provided they don't go out on loan.

Oh I wish if we had signed him earlier in his years, he would have certainly given us a lot more magical moments, especially his finishing for a midfielder, it's more astonishing and lethal than some strikers'.. He's top quality, we just got him the wrong time..
