Both are great jets! Hard to beat the Viper. Both fair well in grass, viper is better.

That is a good size. I prefer to not fly too heavy of batteries

Hi, very nice! Do you remove the wings for transport? If yes, is it dangerous in the long term to damage the foam when you remove and put the wings everytimes that you go to the field?tanks
It’s not hard on them because where they fit is plastic

I prefer the smart 5000s a finger width back from the front battery bay bulkhead for now. 7000 even fit well and there’s plenty of room to go aft. I prefer the 5000 though

I like the 5000, keeps it light and nimble. 7000 might get a little more flight time but not much due to the weight penalty.

Dave I’m having the hardest time figuring out how to reverser thrust on my ix12 for this viper. Birmingham rc club … Bigfoot fly in
Question. Probably a stupid rc pilot one but here it goes my man. I painted my viper 70mm black unfortunately didn’t realize it would be hard to see but the problem was I started my turn to final approach and it seemed heavy and turned upside down and nose dive into gods green HARD earth. Did I spray to many coats of paint and clear? Also by the front intakes I used silver foil tape. Could that interfere with the receiver at all? I have flown for years but when it comes to some things like this I’m not to familiar as you can see. Thanks for the response
Paint does add up and can change things up a bit

Honestly, I like the 5000, unless you need the 7000 for other planes you have, stay with the versatility of the 5000

Hit the gas, ops on grass! Another fantastic flight and grass takeoff and landing Ryan! Man she looks, sounds and flies sweet! I wasn't going to get one and just ordered the Arrows F-15 and now seeing and hearing it the weakness is kicking in lol! Great camerawork by Bobby and video Ryan! BIG thumbs up! Best regards to both!

Hi Pilot Ryan. I’m baffled…I crashed my Viper 70mm today. I was coming in for a landing and everything was looking good…it was taking most of the runway to land so I decided to go around… I poured on the power to go around and my Viper rolled to the right and went in nose first! What did I do wrong? It was pretty slow with full flaps but it just kept floating so I decided to go around… I kept the full flaps in when I decided to pour on the power and the jet rolled in on me nose first to the right… any ideas on what happened?
Without knowing more it sounds like a stall
Question the freewing f16 90mm stated it requires a 6s 5000 50c battery. Could I use a smart 6s 5000 30c? Is 20c a huge difference? Thanks

Hi Ryan, I have some e-flight Jets with Spectrum ESC and Spektrum iX20 radio. Trust reverse works great at all. BUT for now I want the 90mm EDF VIPER fly with another radio make (CORE from Powerbox-Systems). DO YOU KNOW if it is possible to use the trust reverse feature also with another radio like Spektrum???

It was totally jacked. The battery in the mic was on its way out. Had to use a diff mic. Normally I can stand in a Hurricane and you won’t notice. Sucks

So many great planes makes it difficult to make a choice which one next, That Viper is on my radar however the $600.00 sticker price is a bit high for me at this point, Maybe when the next sale comes around. That should work. You would be able to get off in a shorter distance.
