- When it comes to military families you can’t do much better than the CV-90. This Swedish group of vehicles represents some of the most effective tracked armoured offerings that the world has ever seen. As far as infantry fighting vehicles go this group are some of the most mobile and agile so it's no wonder that they’ve become a fixture in the Swedish fleet for coming up to 3 decades. Let’s take a look at what makes them so special.

Best IFV in the world.
And they have proved to reach the goal every producer strive for an actual modular framework, letting them even when selling small batches make a custom weapon selection for a new customer.
It was the best IFV. Without drone defense it is expensive scrap metal on the modern battleflield.
It got drone defense, sort of...One of the 17 variants is a LV...
@@kentunemo5866 you may be right but in this vid there's no info about that.
@@histtreesap The point is it actually has a modular hardware and software framework.
So anyone make a new smart drone defence system the Swedes will intergrade it on the CV90 in no time.
The video described the “iron-fist” type counter-fire defense system that launches out to destroy or deflect incoming ATGMs or sabot rounds but that would equally be effective against lancet type attacks or FPVs
What it can’t affect is the 5000’ away spotter drone with a laser designator or just spotting for artillery … for that, the vehicle needs a 25mm or higher airburst-shell top-mount cannon with exceptionally high angle capability
CV90 Mk IV IFV Integrates Akeron 5th Gen Missile
advanced combat system with integrated LYNKEUS micro-UAV offers a major expansion in battlefield.
Linking the onboard LYNKEUS micro-UAV permits the most effective use of Akeron’s 5000 meter maximum range and use of its non-line-of-sight engagement possibilities.
I'm hoping we will see a missile carrier version later on. PLENTY of space in the back for multiple vertical launchers, and they're already designed with "top doors" for the infantry to pop out and shoot from, should be (relatively) easy to replace that with VLS.
Without doubt the best infantry combat vehicle in the world at rhe moment.
No its not the bradley is the best its a good ifv don't get me wrong tho
American bias
@user-zm7by2gn9v nope your wrong muppet I'm British🤡🖕
@@ZackariasEriksson wrong 🤡🖕I'm British
@@davidhopkins9021 lol never
Well, iv'v worked with it, so i just love it😍
I drove the MK1 but have had no experience since, compared to PBV 302 it was a dream for both the driver and the gunner (tried both roles) and the PBV wasn't bad to begin with but you did a great job, no wonder Ukraine wants 100k of them. It's hands down the best APC and in the latest iteration, it's a better option than a Leopard since it has a lesser track and can still take out both air targets and ground targets of any kind.
Add NLAW in the back, one sniper and one machine gunner and we can drop deadly force right there as we move on to take out targets.
@@michaelmay5453 Hehe, so did i worked in Skövde at Pansartruppernas Stridsskola👍🏻
Wait for BWP Borsuk
@@cya3mdirl158It's possible for both Swedish and Polish IFVs to be great.
After all, we are Brothers in Arms.
Good to hear. Often comments are negative on vehicles from people who worked them.
Appears to be a pattern. Swedes make people friendly weapons
We in the Netherlands will soon start build 200 of these....
Does it already include Top Down? Cause I didn't hear that as an improvement for the V. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
The CV90 is an amazing vehicle by all accounts. I'd love to know the stopping power difference between 50mm and 35mm ammunition. Many have seen Bradley's taking out, severely damaging, Russian tanks with 35mm ammunition. Would 50mm make a big difference?
Our country bought the Isareli Ascod2. Is it more expensive than the ascod2? Seems it looks more badass.
Finally, something that is fully armed and can carry a FULL squad of infantry soldiers. Most modern armies including us in America only can carry a fire team and some change (4 and a couple others) besides the crew. Why don’t other modern countries do this especially if they can afford it?
'New" in 1990.
Yes the New CV90, whats the problem here? It has always been good and now its even better with NEW tech, read up kid.
@@Gurupimp10 I do read, kid, having taught Military History. It is doubtless upgraded and a fine vehicle, but not a "new" IFV.,
@@thomaslinton5765 So you don't consider the New Bradly that Rheinmetall is building New? Same thing there, the amount of changes makes it a new tank, nothing like the old models of Bradly/CV90.
This should be the NATO standard. I don’t understand why some countries are getting inferior APCs; it has to be politics. If we streamline our production within NATO, it will benefit everyone. For example, the chassis could be made in Sweden, the cannon in America, the sights in France, the ammunition in Finland, and the tracks in Italy. By adopting NATO standards and distributing production, we could produce these vehicles in record numbers.
It is clear that the British Warrior has major problems, as people get seasick riding in them. The German Puma has major problems, catching fire, and the Bradley can’t even be used in snow because it gets stuck. The engine is just too weak, and the cannon is a bad choice. its time to work together instea dof going into failed projects that cost billiions. sharing is the best way forward. we ave to move forward like we with J35 Lightning its a shared project. and we share development costs.. there are also Huge benefits getting spare parts with Joinet ventures. and also streamlined production.
Oh yeah, another game changer. The most optimal advantage of this unit is the huge profits for BAE
The best change on the battlefield is the end of thr battlefield.
💙💛
Canada should equip our army to support our Leopards.
It will only change the battlefield until an opponent goes to the next level. FFS.
Sweden🇸🇪👍💪👊⭐
Yesterday advanced Russians troops captured an intact CV-90 near the town of Chasov Yar (Donbass battle), which was abandoned by Ukrainian troops during their quck retreat
Hang on a moment.....how is something that has been "a fixture of the Swedish fleet for comin gup on three decades" to be considered to be new?
Hell, this is at least the third vid I've seen on the CV-90. Not quite "new", and must doubt the last part of the title sentence. "Forever"???
CV90 is without a doubt on of the best IFV in the world, but ofcourse this is propaganda as well.
As you said, the CV 90 isn't "new". It's a 90's design (entered service 1994) that has been constantly upgraded. Only the pure chassis from the Mk0 model resembles the upcoming MkV version. The latest version MkIV is light years ahead of the Mk0.
Once e.g the german Puma have fixed all the initial problems (and there have been tons of it), it might take the throne. But so far i personally consider the CV 90 the best allround IFV in the world. Even the older Bradleys given to Ukraine have proven to be a complete overmatch for any russian counterpart.
Mark IV is new!
Mark IV variants are not more than 7 years old. So it is new
Upgrades, my lad. Loads and loads of upgrades.
SOME OF THESE WOULD DO WELL IN UKRAINE ABOUT 15 OF THE OLDER ONES
Sweden sent 50 of them to Ukraine
And we are building new ones to send right now
We Swedes felt that 15 is a bit low so we sent 50 we could spare right away.
(We have about 500 of them)
We still feel only 50 is a bit low, we want to send more so we got this Sweden + Denmark deal where Sweden builds 35 that Denmark pays for and we send those.
But the Dutch felt this number was still a bit low and we can do better. So now it's 230 vehicles total and hopefully 180 are going to Ukraine.
@@niclasjohansson2071 And those are the newest ones, with the best armor and updated electronics. Also: Saab Barracuda.
Ännu en lycksökare som fiskar runt i 10 år gamla nyheter
I'll take 1 FPV.
YT,just removes my comments. Good luck with your comments friends🤞
With that Liminous cammo I think the North Koraens will think there were on to something with their troop cammo.
It is the manufacturers own cammo patern..... it is a trademark gimic
When you buy your CV90 you get to paint it any way you want.
What you see is a publicity version of the Swedish M90 camo pattern.
So what is NEW in 90.s IFV what NOW will change battefiels FOREVER?
You can search for the info online. Try Wikipedia?
But yes, it'll change battlefields forever.
Situational awareness with better night vision and cameras around the vehicle, anti tank missiles and the active protection.
@@hansericsson7058 i know the CV90, the point what i was making was its not new and there is nothing what is "game changer" in CV90, u can get all the same things in every modern western ifv. Dont get me wrong the CV90 is in my top 3 ifv.s but the video title is just so bad click bate
Maybe start with watching the Video? Is this a Russian bot or what haha xD
@@Gurupimp10 I did, and i know the CV90. But if im a Russian bot can u tell me what is the game changer in CV90 compared to my two ohter top 3 IFV (Puma, K21 and CV90) please, im all ears
And a dji mavic will kill it!
It makes the Braley looks lame
No it wont
It will be better if this could swim .
Its way to heavy foor that.
As you've seen with the Ukraine War the BMPs and other soviet legacy vehicles aren't very swim able today due to seals being too old or they or swim too poorly with only waterjet propulsion they get stuck on sand banks and in mud, as the bands can't engage the obstructions due to the design.
Some just mysteriously sink.
The swim ability hasn't played any kind of key role imagined for them for either side of the War while the theoretic ability to attempt to do so keeps their armor weak.
A CV90 that is prepared can ford.
A BVS10 can actually swim and traverse underwater obstructions but the Armor is then less than the CV90 has.
비싼 가격이 약점인 CV90
You get what you pay for
@@twinsiesyt vote Trump 👍🤘
Christ so many of these military vehicle videos have such sickeningly over the top clickbait titles. I wouldnbe shocked if the video is anything other than complete garbage.
"Forever" Rubbish.
OOPS, here comes a drone and tank is toast.
No, it'll just shoot it down, or jam it.
A couple of drones and poof it was gone.
There are about 17 variants... say that about the LV type....
So how does it come that only a few of the 50 Sweden has send are captured or damage 🤔
It's proven to be much harder to drone-kill than an MBT...
russians are right to fear it.
"There are about 17 variants." Then you buy 17 drones.
Just watch the video. There are countermeasures against drones as well.
BS , its a big , lumbering target , like any other . It can be taken out just as easily as any other . Usually by a UAV
