Do you think its even worth crafting this deck rn? In this tear meta its really hard to play anything thats not either tear or anti tear decks, and after tear will come kashitra which is also not going to be a fun meta. Personally this deck seems kind of cool to me and since I played master duel for a long time now i basicly have all of the going second cards but I have only about 1500 gems. I already own a umi, swordsoul, true draco and timelord decks so its not like i dont have anything else to play but still I want your opinion on is it worth making this deck.
tear doesnt play ash/called by so if you use your maxx c after they used kittkalos you have a very good chance to win the game. sadly drawing maxx c is only a 33% chance. kurikara is another strong boardbreaker but against good tear players you will have a winrate around 40-50% with this deck. the thing is, good tear players rarely play ranked. also, be aware that anti-tear cards like shifter/difi/macro hurt this deck. nevertheless, its a fast paced fun deck but as you figured out, if you want the most success you either play tear or anti tear. in that case i wouldnt craft it. if you just aim for diamond5+ then you should still be fine with ancient warriors. if you are very good with this deck and a lucky enough you can grind to diamond1 even in this meta but d5 should be more realistic. it likely would be your second best deck after swordsoul even though i think going second ancient warriors is better than going first swordsoul on average. i used to beat a lot swordsoul players when it was meta alongside branded. once we'll get a similar midrange meta, ancient warriors will be better. also the kash matchup will be decent (kaiju, nibiru, kurikara as outs) the macro effect on ariseheart is the only real problem.
@@amigonts Well I saw A LOT of success with winged dragon of Ra - sphere mode ([not with the AW i didnt build them yet im still thinking about it and i own 3 copies of Ra, lol dont ask ) and I dont know why master duel tear players are extremely greed so they always summon at least 3 monsters and Ra doesnt trigger they revive effect and automatically turns off their traps cuz they need to have at least 1 tear on the board to activate them. Yea sometimes its difficult to out your own sphere mode cuz its has attack and targeting protection but you can just kaiju it or raigeki, lightning storm it or idk. Oh and yea i looked at your deck list and I see that you play Metalfoes Fusion, do you play that just in case it gets milled or is there another reason ? Also im not aiming for the d1, usually i always finish of the season on d3 or d4 and that fine for me.
@@wixlee you need your normal summon in this deck, which is the reason why nobody plays golem or sphere mode. if you play 3 tensu you might be ok with playing cards that take away you normal summon. yea, either metalfoes gets milled and i have another draw or i discard it for cost. almost all aw effects discard for cost, so you basically will get one activation for free. if you build a budget version without extravgance (which i dont recommend) you only need 1-2 lu feng and 1 double dragon lord for archtype ur.
The umi and ancient warrior deck on your youtube looks similar to flo should i make one of those my 2nd deck? I like it simple. or what would be your recommendation for simple flo enjoyer?
floowandereeze already is the best "simple" (control) deck. so you sadly can only downgrade from that point on but other options are fun too. the current meta is not too great for ancient warriors but overall its a good and easy deck to reach diamond quickly without caring about the cointoss. however, diamond1 will be very hard to reach with it. after kash/tear meta it will be better. if you want a pure going second deck ancient warriors/numeron/luna kaiju are nice options but you have to take into account that going second always will be a disadvantage even if your deck is build to go second. the same kinda applies to umi. its an easy control deck with which you will get to diamond fast but it needs to go first or it will have a hard time. if you are willing to do some basic "combos" spright and swordsoul are strong simple decks. however, if you rather want a control-ish gameplay like with floowandereeze, you should take a look at exosister, dinomorphia or labrynth. especially labrynth will get new support soon which will make it meta viable. besides that there are also decks like stun, subterror or umi, which accomplish the same thing but are weaker.
@@amigonts oh so we call these control decks? Alright thats the playstyle deck im looking for! I'll check out these decks and see how they play. I don't mind losing, i just like going second for fun, the wins feel more impactful for me lol thanks for the advice
@@sergeoh735 yea floo is a control deck. i do have (older) replays of other control decks like dinomorphia or subterror on this channel. i know what you mean and winning going second feels definitely better, especially if you are doing it with a non-meta deck like ancient warriors. most people wont even read the cards because nobody plays them. i think swordsoul is a very good balanced deck in this aspect. it doesnt really want to go second but it can do very well going second. perhaps even better than most decks that are solely build to only go second. its simple to learn but "hard" to master. its not a control deck though. got replays of it on my channel too
I made some modifications to my deck and I have been having success going first! I took out Extrvagance altogether and now I run Prosperity and 3 Tenki in its place. Would you still run AW as Blind go Second or with the new support is going first a viable option?
i mean you could easily turbo out dweller in this deck, which would help you win vs tear. this deck is cappable of settings up 4-5 interruptions going first. the problem is that once you burn through your ressources you will just lose since you have no recovery. its definitely viable going first especially with floodgates like skilldrain which all your monster can turn of anytime since they send for cost but going second will be better anyway.
@@amigonts I getcha. Funny thing....I haven't faced Tear is at least a week or so. And I'm in Gold right now. Got to Plat 3 last season. My reasoning for my build is that I don't want Tears going first because of all the Ishizu millers. They could mill my ability to break their boards. I've been ending on Dong Zhou, Lu Bu, Double Dragon Lords And Zhuge Liang. That can be pretty nasty.
platinum 60-65%, diamond 50-60% i used to climb every month to diamond1 with ancient warriors and did top some tournaments with them but in the current meta its hard to get to diamond1 with them. its still possible but very grindy. also its a lot easier to play at the end of the month. i always got diamond1 with them in the last week of a month. slayer is definitely a good card but i dont think that you absolutely have to play it. once the tear meta ends, the deck will be better
no, but you definitely could since you only really need double dragon lords. if you have cards like bagooska, dweller, zeus, goddess etc. i would play them they come up only very rarely but are good to have in this rare moments
ash is not a good card in this deck and especially not in the current meta called by is ok, but i took it out it had too low of an impact vs tear going second
Opponent activated dark ruler no more so no one gets battle damage. And the level 6 that was summoned protects ancient warriors from destruction by battle
Yo, that was so disrespectful @9:15😂😂😂
I like how you edit, and skiping to when you start to play...one gets tired of seeing tear combo over and over again
Why don't you run Underworld Goddess? You can't out Punisher nor I:P'd Avramax and sometimes you won't survive long enough to draw a Kaiju
i do but occasionally it gets banished by pot of extravagance
