The decadence of the lobster combined with the ease of this ever so simple macaroni and cheese makes for a winning combination that will have your taste buds dancing. We call this a side dish but it could just as easily be a main course meal. The first step is showing you how to cook lobster. The prep is quick and it cooks fast, so making this Valentines recipe will leave lots of time for other activities. I love my mac and cheese with Gruyere and cheddar cheese - give is a creamy and wonderful flavor. Now I'm going to have to add lobster because that looks delicious and I love lobster!

I like fontina and sharp cheddar! But only use elbow macaroni,and I buy South African lobster tails and they are the best! A little expensive but the is almost a nutty flavor. Love your show,I live in Ohio but grill year around and I will making this Mac and cheese tonight!

My mac and cheese favorites are Gruyere and pepperjack. Creamy and flavorful with pulled pork and Hatch green chili.

I love to add Gruyere cheese in with my sharp cheddar in my Mac n cheese. Gives it a nice flavor and also helps it to get nice and melted.

Lobster mac and cheese is one of my top 5 favorite sides. My cheese blend is typically smoked Gouda, white cheddar, American (from the deli) and fresh grated Parmesan. Love your channel!!

Last week I made pulled pork Mac n cheese with super sharp Cabot Seriously sharp cheddar came out amazing, the lobster looks delicious.

Yes it does! You can't go wrong with any Cabot cheeses. I've actually been to their place in Vermont

I usually do but for this, I just want that beautiful lobster flavor to shine through.
Favorite cheese for mac and cheese is at least five year aged extra sharp cheddar with crystals. A tiny bit of a more meltable cheese “product” is added, but the majority is the extra sharp cheddar.
Captain Ron, I have developed a sensitivity to shellfish, which is a bummer as I adore lobster and crab. But until my allergist and I can figure out some sort of histamine blocker which works for me with shellfish, I need to avoid it for now.
I have heard that monkfish is called “the poor man’s lobster,” but I have never tried it. Could you please do a recipe/method sometime with monkfish or anything else which might satisfy my craving for shellfish without triggering my sensitivity?
Oh wow, sorry to hear that! Yes, monkfish really is very similar to lobster. I was pretty amazed.

Yes, you certainly can. We actually did a video of smoked and fried wings on the grill using the dutch oven.
