    Ah this day, featured two great playoff games. First Pittsburgh got caught looking ahead at New England and Jacksonville took full advantage. The 4:30 game New Orleans at Minnesota that ended with the Minneapolis Miracle.

    As a Steelers fan, this still hurts. Especially given how much the Jags suck now. The 2017 Steelers are one of my favorite teams of all time. This season was a huge missed opportunity. Would've liked to see us against the Pats again. #JesseJamescaughtit.
    Either way, the Jags beat us fair and square. Serves us right for looking ahead.

    I remember this day exactly. I was nervous but excited. The most I'd seen the Jags do ever in my lifetime so far. I went to Tuner Evolution wearing my Jags jersey. Receiving and giving glares to Steelers fans. Went to see Xavier Wulf there. The Jags won and that was an amazing day. I truly believe if they didnt have Bortles... Jags would have went to fight the Eagles in the SB. Whether or not they won.. doubtful but my god.

But refs called play dead before they saw results and they marked the man down. 7 points off the board there. Bortles had a chance to then try and score SOMETHING. He didnt. Game ends 20-24 when it should have damn well been 27 to 24

      @@WeShowYou For you it is. But for me.. No. #1 seeds in the playoffs are supposed to be absolute Super bowl contenders. Like.. The 2019 AFC Divisional. Titans vs Ravens. Ravens won 12 in a row, finish their season 14-2, but lose to Ryan Tannehill and 9-7 Tennessee.

      I am a jags fan and am incredibly salt we blew the lead (much like the refs blew the Miles Jack fumble recovery). If you are a Steelers fan I imagine you were also pretty salty that the team wasn’t focused and got embarrassed by a flukey ass Jags team at home twice in the same season.

    This game really defined the Killer B era. Great offense, but subpar defense and overconfidence always seemed to do us in. Ben, Brown, and Bell all had big games here but it didn't matter cause our defense gave up 45 against a team that only scored 10 the week before. I always scratch my head at why Keith Butler got to keep his job, but Todd Haley got fired soon after this game? Todd Haley consistently put together great offenses in Pittsburgh, while Keith Butler gave up 36 to New England, 45 to Jacksonville, and now 48 to Cleveland in his last three playoff games

    To think this is now officially a bygone era. The majority of the stars on both teams are gone or leaving. The end of the Killer B’s and Pittsburgh’s day as an AFC power.
    The Jags appeared to be emerging as the next big AFC power after this game, but history speaks for itself.

      As a jags fan Bortles had one good season which was 2015 ( the Robinson and hurns each having double digit tds year) where I'm pretty sure he was like second in touchdowns to Tom Brady. That 2017 year he had some of the better games in his career, but we won most of our games cause our defense was elite.

    the night before the Patriots beat the Titans to advance to the AFC championship. Levon Bell tweeted something to the effect of "I love revenge games, and we're about to have 2 revenge games in a row"....I knew at that moment the Jags where gonna win. It's one thing to overlook an opponent, it's another to do it to an opponent that absolutely destroyed you already in the regular season of that year

    Jaguars had it that year. I believe if they went to the super bowl, they would've won. Their defense was sick that year. Bortles got carry for sure.

    The only thing missing from this team was an elite QB. Bortles played okay, but not good enough. Our defense took all the pressure off of him. If we had a Russell Wilson or Lamar Jackson, we'd have a ring.

      Underrated because the Steelers were down in a ditch early due to his early turnovers.
      I’m so glad he managed to get a good stat line in a loss though. Sums up Ben post-2010. Plays like dogshit for a quarter and a half. Team gets into a deep hole, puts up great statistics to look like the hero, but the team doesn’t win.
      Most overrated quarterback of his generation.
